I wanted to pass along this great email I got a couple days ago from Susan Roderick (@SusanRoderick on Twitter). Susan has been taking photography classes at creativeLIVE for over a year now. She's been a chat host for all our big weekend photography workshops since Vincent Laforet kicked things off last April:

"Craig, I just wanted to share my story with you. I went to an interview yesterday with a wedding photographer who is looking for a full time second shooter for the 2011 wedding season. I talked with him for four hours! He sat and grilled me with endless technical questions about photography like, "look at this photo and tell me what my settings were and how I created this effect and how did I light this?" He was surprised when he asked me what mm lens sees most closely to the human eye and I knew the answer :)

He said in the ten years he's been interviewing second shooters he has never met someone who was able to answer all of his technical questions correctly. He was very impressed with my knowledge of photography. :) I was even impressed with myself and couldn't believe how much I've learned!

I just wanted to let you know that it has been one year since I started taking classes at creativeLIVE. A year ago I knew almost nothing about photography. I've come so far and I just wanted to thank you again. Thanks to you and everyone at CL!!! It's been a great year. Looking forward to learning much more this year.
