Stepping Up at PhotoPlus Expo in New York.

Yesterday on the blog my long-time co-host Susan Roderick announced her new exciting project – a show called the Unknown Photographer. Congratulations Susan, I’m so thrilled for the adventures that you are about to embark upon! You are an inspiration and I will miss you dearly.

Today I’d like to update everyone on how I’m stepping up my own role at creativeLIVE. In addition to chat hosting, blogging and social media, consider me now your creativeLIVE community shepherd of sorts. I’ll be seeking out guest bloggers and looking for cL groupies to be more engaged with our new cL Forum. Each of you is a cL ambassador and I want to build a platform for us all to learn from and be inspired by each other. How do you want to help grow the creativeLIVE community? Leave me your ideas in the Forum!

In other news, today WPPI NYC kicks off a jam-packed week at PDN PhotoPlus Expo and I’ll be wide-eyed, caffeinated and prepared to be over-stimulated by the vast number of people, vendors and opportunities to learn. My goal for the week is to bring you, the creativeLIVE community, along for the ride – especially those of you who have never been. I invite you to follow behindtheLIVE on Twitter and Facebook for my posts from the road. I’m looking forward to seeing former creativeLIVE instructors including Tamara Lackey, Penny de Los Santos, Jasmine Star, Bambi Cantrell, Zack Arias, Andy Strachwsky, Gale Tattersal, Vincent Laforet, Mark Wallace, Rick Sammon and our own Chase Jarvis! The coolest thing is I’ll be able to meet some of YOU creativeLIVErs who I only know through the chatroom and social media. Put a face to your chat names. Please come say hi if you see me!

@brianmatiash just tweeted that he touched/held the new Canon 1DX at PhotoPlus Expo. Can you give me a "girls opinion" of it, and maybe get someone to snap a photo of you holding it? Fun to dream, but I still love my 5D II.
