Ratings and Reviews

I only saw a couple of the live shows but what I saw looked interesting so I bought the course. Very glad I did; as an average (at best) amateur photographer this was both a great refresher for the basics and a valuable source of new information. Overall the content was very thorough although some sections I felt stopped short of giving all the necessary information while others (back-button focussing/multi strobe?) I felt where less relevant for the audience. John Greengo was quite straight and methodical in his presentation, and mostly thorough in his debriefing of each topic. He also very patiently bounced off some of those just covered/repeated/incomprehensible questions that kept coming through to him. Some good appropriate illustrative photos used (although I'm done for runners for life), regardless of the few slightly dubious ones (dare I mention the horizon behind the didgeridoo player on the beach). Overall a seriously great course, some excellent images and super value for money. I'm already looking forward to John's 5D MKII course.

As an attorney, college professor and former computer engineer, I was extremely impressed with the course materials and illustrations, especially since I have made countless presentations myself and know the effort that goes into making a successful one. I downloaded the class files to a flash drive and played them on my home theater via a WD Media Center - it was a thing of beauty. Mr. Greengo is a natural teacher and his use of illustrations made the subject material totally accessible. My wife, who is a burgeoning amateur photographer began the course with trepidation that she would not get it and that the material would be too technical for her to pick it up. She definitely got it and I sincerely thank Mr. Greengo for instilling in her a confidence to get out and shoot some great photos. For those sitting on the fence, jump! The class goes by fast and has some great information regardless of your current level of knowledge or ability. I also purchased the Canon 5D and 60D classes and I am looking forward to viewing those soon...

I watched his first lectures when CreativeLive first started years ago... I believe was 2010... Now, I'm moving on and decided today to buy his lecture (fully expecting the first one) and now I landed here and he apparently had a brand new set of lectures! I am so happy! Went ahead to buy since I already know how great his lectures are, so I didn't even need to preview the new ones... John Greengo, I salute you! Regards to you, and to CreativeLive... I'm now looking into their other courses... The Glamour and Wedding photography courses are the best next courses to take after this... EDIT: I was just watching the new videos, and man am I impressed! The topics are much more streamlined and he definitely has worked on it very much. He essentially made an impressive overhaul of the course. I really highly recommend it! I am really, very very impressed!
