Let me say first that Bambi is an incredible photographer! I have learned so much from this series! I can only hope to achieve her level of skill!
But I do have some criticism . . .
Her constant referral to assistants and models, as "Cutie-Pie, Scooter, and Missy" is unprofessional. Or let me say it is unprofessional in the context that she uses these terms. To say to a female model, "Hey- you, Missy, jump up in that chair . . ." comes across as demeaning. Others have referred to this as "Sass and Energy", but it is rude.
I will buy everything Bambi does for CreativLive- the content is that good!

WOW BAMBI!!! Thanks so much for your generosity and love in the abundant information you gave us during this posing and lighting course. I have had dozens of aha moments throughout the course and your practical tips have changed my photography forever. I see the direction of light and know exactly where to place myself and my subject confidently and swiftly. I still have a ton of practicing to do but this class gave me a great start . I plan on re-watching the classes and give myself some mini exercises to practice what you taught....Oh...and i wish I can remarry my husband of 15 and a half years so you can be my wedding photographer :)

Am I the only one here who thinks she is super rude?

Thank you Bambi, a lot of photographers do not speak about the difference between shooting African American and Caucasian subjects.... thanks for your insight with regards to metering for these two skin colours as well as the reflectors to use.

Loving this series so far. I am learning so much. Sadly the videos wont load for me to watch from Australia in the evening when the network is busy! I am having to find time during the day.

I loved the content of the class. The only fault that I can find is that the quality of the HD videos is poor. The compression technique that was used cause a loss of video for a couple of seconds every time the scene changes. This does not happen with the low definition videos. It would be great if Creative Live would make a new set of HD videos from the master copy that uses less compression, even thoug it would mean larger file sizes.

I've caught bits and pieces of lots of Creative Live courses but this is the first I've purchased and I'm really happy I did. Posing is such an under discussed topic in the usual photography places online and Bambi provides some really simple fundamentals to get things started.

Then the real lessons come in watching how she interacts with her subjects. Her energy and communication ensures she can quickly get the person in front of the camera in the best position whilst ensuring they are comfortable.

This workshop was amazing, i was so glad when i stumbled upon the email that creative live sent me. I had no idea what to expect and was completely blown away. I was offered to split the cost of the workshop 3 ways and i convinced them to buy their own. it covers some great concepts in lighting and practical posing. even if you missed the $99 price, it's still worth the full price.
