I continue to be blown away as Jasmine Star gets teary eyed (as does the Internet) at the end of her 2-day Wedding Photography Business workshop - check out the video of this segment on YouTube: http://youtu.be/OHVLm-C5SG0 The idea that other photographers have more, are doing a better job, have more success and that I'm always trying to catch up hovers over me constantly. How do you all stay away from comparing yourself to others?

We simply try to take the good from others and make it our own, in that way our competitors are helping us. I don't mean to say we are "copying" them, I mean to say that we are incorporating what we see we like in them and try to let it positively affect what we do.

Everyone has different strengths and weaknesses that make them unique. People hire you for you. They adore what you can bring, what you see, and what you've got. You can't be anyone else, so just be the best you can be, and always remember that they chose you because you're you.
