How did Mark Wallace get so organized?

While watching Mark Wallace's workshop I realized how incredibly organized he is and how organized i WANT to be! Anyone have any practical tips for being more organized with your business and life in general?

Suppose it's in your blood, or in your DNA. Some people just are naturally very organized, some people aren't. Teaching yourself how to be organized, as well as acquiring yet another GTD app will only take you so far, IMO.
Needless to say I belong to the latter group, and I think the most efficient way to make me well organized would be to hire an assistant, find a well organised sweetheart, or build a robot with AI. In other words, I don't really even try to be as organized as some people around me are.

Suppose part of being organized is being focused. However, I think I can be quite focused at times, but having my whole life well organized is a tall order and, I'm not sure if I even want that. In business it is often a must, though. So outsourcing certain tasks could be one way to go. Whenever that's feasible.

Perhaps we, the naturally less organized people can become more organized with proper motivation and desire, when we're working on something we love doing. Trying to force ourselves to be very organized could just cause stress, and take out the joy of doing things, and doing them our way. Or, we could just try making art of being unorganized, while surfing through life. :)

I agree with you on Evernote. I have lists of books I want. Will take a snap of a possible shot location and use it as a photo journal when working on developing shots.

I use Evernote 4 taking notes, jotting down random ideas, storing web articles 2 read later, etc; Remember The Milk 4 reminders (can send em via twitter & will add directly 2 my calendar); Dropbox is my new love & is great 4 storing all my favorite poses that I've gathered over the years & makes a quick visual reference 4 me & the client during a shoot; I just joined ShootQ so all my lead tracking & booking is now done via their web interface & via the app. Actually all of these have their own app on my iPhone lol. I'm a very right brained person when it comes 2 organization. My OCD kicks my behind if I get unorganized in the smallest way. But w/ essentially 3 jobs (traveling freelance press photographer, studio/wedding photographer in TN, book editor 4 a small publishing house) I think it's a necessity that I stay as organized as possible.
