When designer, Swiss Miss blogger, and CreativeMornings founder Tina Roth Eisenberg first came up with the idea for a breakfast lecture series, people thought she was crazy. Getting people in New York City to get to anything is hard, let alone something that happens before 9am on a work day.
Now in 88 cities, CreativeMornings has proven that a great idea can get almost anyone out of bed. The Friday morning talks draw packed houses across the country, and have hosted some of the biggest names in creativity, with talks from musician Moby, IDEO founder David Kelley, author and illustrator Austin Kleon, and writer and CreativeLive instructor Susan Piver. And while each and every one is inspirational in its own way, some of the speakers have spoken some really smart creative truths.
Here are just a handful of the smart ideas and inspirational messages that have come from an idea that people thought was crazy. Want to see the whole thing? Click on any of the quotes to be brought to the talk.
