If I had to pick someone as the mascot for the Music & Audio channel, it might be Graham Cochrane.
His blog The Recording Revolution is on truth bomb after the next, unashamedly embracing digital tools and in-the-box workflow in a way that is totally unfashionable but totally awesome. In addition to being a great blogger, Graham is a producer/mixer/engineer and has taught two CreativeLive classes that I highly recommend (“EQ Master Class” and “Compression Master Class“).
We chatted about how Graham got his start, how producers can market themselves by giving away knowledge, how good it feels to cure yourself of Gear Acquisition Syndrome, and why you probably already own everything you need to make an amazing-sounding recording.
