CreativeLive makes inspiring creative classes accessible to everyone.

Courses, workshops and seminars can be extremely helpful in learning about essential book-writing concepts—from story structure to creating a voice to character development. But what if you could get one-on-one help with your specific project?

Now you can. Author, teacher and book coach Jennie Nash is offering an incredible opportunity for participants of her Write Your Book workshop to follow up with a one-on-one coaching experience, giving you detailed feedback on all your coursework.

Jennie and her team of coaches will focus 100 percent on your project and will show you what is working, what needs improvement and how you can move forward. For those of you who are tired of working in a vacuum and wondering if your idea is any good, now you’ll know if you’re on the right track, which means you can write with more confidence than you’ve ever felt before.

In this coaching program, you’ll receive:

  • A Story Score on each of the 12 steps of the Write Your Bookcourse, so you know exactly where you need to focus your attention.
  • Detailed comments on your pages so you can see what is working and what needs further thought, clarification or improvement.
  • Recommendations for how to revise your work so it has the best chance of having an impact on your reader.
  • An evaluation of your project plan to make sure you’ve set effective goals that will lead you to actually finish your book this time.
  • You will have 6 months after your date of purchase to complete your workbook and activate your One on One Coaching with Author Accelerator.

 • What is a Book Coach

Think of a book coach like a personal trainer for your writing life. Book coaches edit, but we also motivate and inspire, and sometimes give you the kick in the pants you need to stop making excuses and get the work done. It's not just about the words on the page. It's about setting an intention, establishing effective habits, and harnessing the incredible power of having someone in your corner while you write.

  • If you can't get started, we'll give you the steps you need to start strong.

  • If you're stuck in the middle, we'll provide the accountability you need to find your way forward.

  • If you are revising or pitching, we'll offer you the expert editorial eye you need to get over the finish line.

• Who Exactly will be Reviewing and Editing my Work?

A dedicated, professional book coach hand-picked and trained by Jennie Nash. All of our coaches have been trained on the editorial feedback system that Jennie developed, and hired for their ability to see the big picture of your story and to give tough feedback with compassion. Should you decide to continue coaching with us, we’ll talk with you and gather some information that will help us make your long-term match with a coach best suited for your project. The coach who reviews your Bring Your Book To Life work may not be the coach you work with in our coaching programs. Meet our coaching team!

• Who is Jennie Nash

Jennie Nash has spent 30 years in the publishing industry on all sides of the business. She is the founder and Chief Creative Officer of Author Accelerator, a book coaching program that provides feedback, accountability, and support to writers so they can finish their books—and finish strong. Writers coming through Author Accelerator have recently landed New York agents and been selected as PitchWars mentees, Women’s Fiction Writer's Association prize-winners, SCBWI rising stars and an NIEA National Indie Excellence Award finalist.

Jennie's own coaching clients regularly land top agents and book deals with houses such as  Scribner, Simon & Schuster, Hachette, and Ten Speed. Jennie is the author of four novels, three memoirs, and one self-help book for writers, and has taught for twelve years at the UCLA Extension Writers’ Program. What Can I Expect to Receive from my Book Coach? .
One of our book coaches will review your work and offer both developmental (big-picture) editing and detailed suggestions.

You will receive a 12-point Coaching Summary that assigns a “story score” to each element so you can clearly identify your strengths and weaknesses.
You will also get notes and comments right on the pages of your workbook, book outline, and two scenes. Edits could be as broad as restructuring the shape of your story or as small as clarifying your point. This is not a line-editing or proofreading service. Our goal is to make sure the fundamental elements of your story are in the best shape possible for you to write forward with confidence

• Can I ask Questions about my Feedback?

No. Follow-up communication with your coach is not part of this program. If you'd like ongoing discussions, weekly deadlines, and monthly phone calls with a book coach, we recommend our Manuscript Accelerator program.

 • Why is Coaching a Better Option for my Book than Trying to Draft it on my Own?

The benefit of coaching is that you will produce a rough draft of a book that is more like a fifth or sixth draft because you will have had editorial input, accountability, and emotional support as you go. You will improve your writing skills and increase your confidence.

• Timing and Refund Policy

Please Note: You will have 6 months after your date of purchase to complete your workbook and activate your One on One Coaching with Author Accelerator. There are no refunds on the Bring Your Book To Life coaching package. Our coaches will be putting in time and energy to review your work, so all payments are final.

• What is your privacy policy concerning my manuscript? How do I know my material is protected?

Every professional editor works on the assumption that the writer owns the execution of their ideas. To do otherwise would be reckless and unconscionable. Remember that copyright does not protect an idea; it protects the execution of that idea. A thousand writers could be writing about Abraham Lincoln or the zombie apocalypse or a haunted bullet train, but each of their stories would be different. So you can never really say that someone stole an idea, or used your idea. You can, of course, argue if someone literally steals your executed pages—and published writers report this as a problem with pirated material—but that is a very different thing than protecting an idea. No member of the Author Accelerator staff will ever use the execution of a writer's idea in any capacity without consent.

• What if I want to continue coaching after I get my feedback?

If you found the feedback helpful and are ready to begin writing or revising your book, you can smoothly transition into Manuscript Accelerator and start working with a coach right away. Just email us at
