image, things like that now I know the right tool to choose for that, so yeah, let's go ahead and get into it, all right? We're so we're going to use a keynote here, basically, as our as our god, for for attentive, for beginners that I made that in photo shot, by the way. So I was like, you know, it doesn't really have that you can't really make nice keynotes in key note they need updated, so, uh, just make it and photo shop with an important all right? So here are the ten tips now we're going to be coming back to each of these tips throughout the duration of class, so don't feel like you have to write everything down, this's just a general overview of what we're going to be covering in this class. So tip number one this is this is an awesome tip was safer weapon devices whenever possible. Basically, we're going to show you guys how to take your images and howto place them on the internet, and we're going to show you howto see previews of the images in an internet browser. We're going to show you guys how to resize and sharpen and make sure all your images has anyone ever uploaded internet. So, like an image like flicker facebook and the colors are all weird, that's happened, you guys. So we're going to start up I'm gonna show you how to never have that happen again because it's it's pretty annoying so yeah that's tip one tip to we're going to be starting we're going to learn the commonly used tools in photo shop, so I'm gonna go over basically all the tools that you guys um really should know to begin with things that you don't need to spend a ton of time learning everything that photo shops like super complex, right? So you don't want to like you don't want to spend like ten hours your life learning every single tool so you couldn't just learn like the basics that easier tools it's gonna help you out of time two three make the most out of selections I'm going to show you guys how toe toe work with selections and photoshopped howto ad just selections subtract from selections and actually what you would actually wind up doing with those elections and, uh back to number four use layer effects with the type tool, so we'll go through the type to will show you some different options with that as well as how to apply layer effects has anyone use it like a drop shadow and photo shop? Yeah, okay, cool so that's that's what we mean by layer affects things like drop shadows bubbled in, boss things like that a lot of the time, those can look pretty horrible, it can be towed to him right s someone to teach you basically all the things you need to know in orderto do those right to make sure that they turn out and they actually good. Um just the general side note I was like last night I was going through my ten tips for photoshopped beginners, and I realized that on my outline, I didn't write any of them as tips, so like teach them how to use curves, I was like that's going to tip it all I had to rewrite these last night to try to make them into tips, but they totally weren't tips like a number five is used courage that levels toe color images I was like, yeah, I got that kind of sounds like a tip, um, but I think it's a little creative with my with my writing here, say at number five use curves and levels to color images, so it's a really great way to color your images. So you kind of how the ins and outs of like a levels dialogue as well as the curves dialogue, they thank me a little bit daunting if you don't know what all the little ciders and things like that too and super really helpful they learned in photo shop uh number six we're going to be going into layers masking and showing you guys how to do some like structure organization things like that and a lot of things keep everything grouped so when you're working through an image you're going to stay really focused in on track you're not going to get confused by holding a bunch of layers number seven is keyboard shortcuts I'm going to be using keyboard shortcuts during this class and we also have ah listing keyboard targets I'm gonna show you guys away where you can access all the keyboard shortcuts that photo shop asked offer within photo shop and I'm gonna even show you how to create your own and customize some of those photoshopped people are shortcuts because it's in my experience the best way to get fast at photo shop is through keyboard shortcuts but there's so many of them it's hard to keep track sometimes they're weird like if you want uh for instance like a common blur your use and photo shop is called the galaxy and blur has anyone ever used the galaxy? Ambler okay cool well there's no keyboard shortcut for it by default s o I just created my own so I hold shift option command which is just these three keys on the left and hit g for gal singular so if a keyboard shortcut is included in photoshopped that doesn't make sense to you like if you want something to be you know, command p and by default its print but you wanted to be pen tool or something you can create your own keyboard circuits, you can customize all the people are shortcuts in photo shop make it easier if you guys remember number eight, we're gonna have some fun with the filter gallery basically applying filters to your image is it's a really cool way where you can get your images to look a little bit more artistic? They're going to range from, like totally hokey like the cheesiest things you've ever seen something you would not want to put in your portfolio on dh then we'll show you some things that are actually pretty useful that you would actually wind up using in your work number nine similar but different the clone stamp and the healing brush tool both very useful commonly used tools in photo shop and I'm going to show you the main differences between the two of those and number ten we're going to be blending layers together for more believable effects and for things like coloring and whatnot, so I'm excited we have any, uh everyone's pumped up in the in the chats we're good to go pumped up, but we have some of our regulars cayenne who's from new orleans is a big fan of yours because he loves the compositing stuff but a lot of good positiveness in here
