Animated Mobile Side Nav

Hey there, this video, we're going to create this kind of burger menu that pops in this little mobile nav super easy to do, Let's jump in now and work out how to do it. All right to create a little slide menu, we are going to want to delete them because that was fun but I don't really need them so I'm going to start there. I'm going to create, I'm going to duplicate this art board. Okay, I'm gonna get rid of everything on it. I've made a little slighted menu Okay, in between the videos there's nothing special. Okay, just a box of some text in it and what I want to do is have it slide in kind of like there, maybe they are underneath this little knob sandwich. So what I want to do is when you click on the name of sandwich, I want this to slide in and basically it's just under the overlay and I guess I want to show you because it's sometimes just hard mentally to go, how would this apply to all these different things? So we'll work through a few of them. So this one here, we're gonna go t...

o prototype control tab. You'll probably be ready to punch me in the face for for the shortcuts, especially control tab. We all know it dan. I hope you don't mind. But it's it's good handy to learn all the shortcuts, Wake up in a sweat in the middle of the night control tab Anyway, so what I'd like to do is when this thing is clicked, what was that one unit? Somewhere along. when I turned it into a unit, I'm gonna one group it just for the moment. This guy here, when he's clicked, he's going to go to this whole art board, same as before it was going to overlay. But we've been using, dissolve. All I'm gonna do is get it to slide left. If you're like slide right, slide left, not sure just you have to try both of them, always get it wrong as well. So it's gonna slide left this one, we're just gonna play with easing for no good reason. Just pick another one and we're gonna preview this, give it a preview of the lines, click cool. Now, what we might do, like we've done in previous ones switched to design mode, draw are just a bit of a background cover. I should go and steal it from one of the other outboards. I've done it so many times in this case, I am going to just lower it down a bit, put it behind. Now, give this one a preview, boom. Actually, I don't like the that black thing sliding in the background, so I take it back, I don't want that one. What I might do with it is grab this and maybe um group it and give these guys a drop shadow. Maybe not this one, you know, drop shadow. And what you'll notice is you can carry on now, but I just brought up a little bit of a point. Can you see the shadows on this? But not this one. How would you fix that? What I do is I just extend that So it's kind of it's behind it. First of all, I have to make sure it's behind this box, but just kind of overlap it like that and it kind of gives the illusion of giving it to this. But really it's just this one has it. This one doesn't have it. This one does that makes sense. Alright, menu boom. Nice. All right. The only problem you might run into is this one might not go back so I just gotta make sure remember that. I keep showing you this because I run into that. Problem loads when I started. Is that that you can see that. So click on the art board and make sure that says return if it doesn't remember. Just go you my friend overlay but you've got to go to previous outboard note, you go to this animation, No tep overlay. Previous outboard. There you are. Next. Alright, that is gonna be it for this video. Let's move on to the next one.

Ratings and Reviews

Thank you, Dan Scott, for providing such a beautiful Adobe XD course. I completed the course today and noticed a couple of things that are missing. I want to share them here so that you can upgrade the course, which would be helpful for us. Hover state and toggle state. Dragging pages from 1-2 to 2-3 and then back from 3-2 to 2-1 with dragging is not working. Another thing is that we learned scrolling the website from top to bottom, but scrolling or pushing things from right to left has been completely omitted. These are the things I have noticed, and I would like you to upgrade them so that we can improve our Adobe XD skills.
