You, uh, mike, I did make you today, but I met so many people wasn't has really had. So this is wayne. You're gonna be nice to me this time. Wait, so what we do? I actually really loved this little way, a different issue, which you've got to deal with in regards to and behaviours. So I'm just gonna keep it really cam with wayne I'm gonna let mike handle him because he's obviously got a tiny little bit of immigration issue, but that's because he's a cross between the two what eyes in it, it's often you often do you get that with with small dogs, they have small dogs and drum and they can be a little bit snappy things like that. But we probably we might not play with the ball in front of weighing just a the moment sue keep your dog under control already, so I might just get you take his collar off, but we'll leave the little grey. I think I quite like the little grey mrs collar on you, and I'm gonna would get you to work with me with him just purely because of us. His life he's a nice li...

ttle bit unsure what? So if we just sit him on the, I'm gonna try with the natural light game with with wei and I'll see if I could give the teacher and just living a little sniff around and just get him so how old is wine he's also too he's almost true so he's just a baby as well that I'm so it might get you to graham cookie maybe that is not going off hey yeah but he's really cute oh good boy even like a little bit more and sure oh oh you can just sitting back I'm just getting the right positioning for him so just go back over a little bit more okay sit down oh no that's right I'm actually just gonna shoot skeet time to stay I'm just going to shoot on this angle just to change my camera angle just him I was gonna I do find it a lot more restricting working on tripod but in this situation I need to if you just get him to sit down again wake up thank you I'm coming over again that's right thiss moving that's fine sorry you could you just keep just keep talking to him telling him to sit and I'll just get the tension set him up again if you can okay that's right it's okay it's fine. We might just want my position moved ums gets going back about if I can avoid having to do much retouching a will but that's a pretty easy to fill it in areas of background and stuff like that you oh, the movement in that one I can tell when I should have there's gonna be movement on that ah hey comes to me yeah it is it's probably that he's just a little unsure of what he's been told what what he has to do so is just automatically going to a more submissive pose because he's a little bit unsure of the situation and what he's doing but he's all right that's fine if you if you just sit there just pushing back and again and just just keep petting him until the cdo's boy that's right is the food orientated yes, but not when he's distracted no okay, I got you no that's quite cute actually just push him back this way to sloman yeah just keep your hand on him and him I'm just gonna see if I can get a little bit see if you can get your hands off him if you can this's just dusted and relax but see, that student is very easy to remove that hand from the background as well in the image like food oh, well that's the same difference okay there's my exciting too much you might be too active now because the tail's going and that sort of thing he's gonna be he's possibly going to move too much with my natural life I'm with the it's quite all right we can clean that up so what I'm going to get you to do is bring a treat just above the camera to see if you'll follow the island he looks a little bit hunched in this position but we'll just see what what we can get the tongue's going so we're going to be interesting to try and capture whoa you know yeah this is it's going to be very, very difficult to get him still with food involved I think so hopefully we haven't ruined opportunity with bringing food and yet let's just let's just leave the folk now just because he's won because what's happening is he's wiggling his whole body and on the thirtieth exposure it's there's no way that I'm going be able to get so that's going might still mmm mmm mmm mmm mmm mmm mmm oh oh who has got the cute? It is that's quite nice actually, mike because I'm gonna crops feed off if I do just just pushing back too slow but if you just keep your hands on him until he's settled into spot if you can yeah, great. Just bring your hand back up because he seems to think that you got teo that's shot hopefully you'll see the difference in there he's really quite see the relaxed he's finally I noticed he just went into him totally more much more relaxed pose just finally click clicked ok, this is what they want me to do just wanna just wanna chill here I'm not goingto I don't have to be really anxious and everything so that's the difference between those fruit those other two images that one in this is just a huge difference is really what much more relaxed now way movement than that when it comes to sit two much stay stay away school sprays looking up at you just a little bit wait well there was movement on that one as well he's very, very lucky dog this one spring brings a lot of mmm yeah, I know it's amazing how it just suddenly changes his attitude when he gets well that's that's cute though great just let him chill for house cookie doing this will bring cookie back in again soon and, um try a try few more as well uh I may I've even nervous to go and it doesn't move him a little bit. You're gonna be very careful with these sort of dogs just yet thankfully wayne's really good with mike so just it's good teo show all sorts of different scenarios you have toe I know you can go a little bit closer to a woman so that stay stay just look a little color office well, just so I can do one just simple without that, mmm wait really well really well with anything we'll bring cookie back thanks so much for bringing us grace to give cooking a break it was perfect to bring wayne in and have a little bit of play hey cookie wait you forgot your lunch all was she hungry oh oh the food actually we'll make a signal that hopefully that might actually make you settle down a little bit of she's had some food and um everything did you hear figure debut lunch mom right I'm just going to try one of cookie on her own without the flower thief same sort of scenario just keep your tits later smell wayne's yep nine was a good boy you show what you have done come on well yeah I mean we don't want you jumping off can you jump up that you and I know she's she's got a little baby baby legs oh look it during the night okay ladies waiting for me who you calling a bellini bellini beautiful little one oh believe me I couldn't believe it well in here she was sniffing she's because we've had wine on the issues it's nothing the other door so well let me just get that out of your system still this ain't the natural it's been really even with still on about under exposing my two point five stops apparently by my camera but we are getting good images so I'm happy well, cookie what are you doing? Okay. Thank you so if you just sit down I want to save good grill coming in well just to end a social symmetrically really front onto may if you can you can keep your hand on her bum because I'm coming cropping and on your chest okay sit down so just keep your hand on the front of her as well in the meantime just er oh mmm mmm mmm mmm mmm mmm mmm mmm mmm mmm mmm have too much with your hand in the front with me if you do the shopping mmm mmm mmm mmm wonder what she'd be like she just tried to eat a feather richie don't you see what she's off yes you want to eat that one not a good one I might have something like that at home and she got that show her all right and she goes nuts with it yeah okay let's go see what she does she's eighty and a little bit nervous over but it might work but it's very similar to what anyone says yeah yeah interesting too much yep she thinks that to play two way where she's a little bit more unsure of this one which is interesting because they say they colorblind but said that does a different texture in school and I think it's going it's going she's a playful puppy so that's going to make it a little bit more let's just try what we were trying before and we'll sit her down, put you in the puppy, set your heel so back onto me and I'm just gonna see if I could get it to look at me over his shoulder. Many, many no. Is it? I'm easy. Just want me out of the cannon. Was that too difficult? Right? Yeah, just let me go. She wants to get their way. Okay? Wayne smells really good, obviously. Even say if she'll lie down, what a safe show if we can get it. This's good justices. This is often what happens and portrait commissions like where we get. We just have to just play it by ear, tried different poses, see what they get dogs going to do. Just keep working it and let them hear brakes. Come back, she's easily distracted. I think she wants just what you need to man and I just when she's around that's, right where she can go to the toilet if she really has to clean up after you. That's. Fine.

This course was definitely worth the investment - both time and money. With about 15 hours worth of video sessions and amazing bonus handouts - Rachael provides some really useful, practical tips that you can apply straight away regardless whether you're just beginning your photography journey or are a seasoned professional. It was great to see Rachael at work in session - especially her techniques used to calm and quieten her models if needed. She had a potpourri of helpful suggestions such as remember to take both landscape and portrait shots (if possible), know your rights to take and use images - don't assume, be extra vigilant with cleanliness especially around kittens and puppies who may not have been fully vaccinated, keep kittens and puppies isolated in pens or cages if not in their own environment as they're escape artists etc. Her extensive experience with licensing agents and publishing houses was insightful ... and not for the faint-hearted, so it seems! Thanks Rachael for taking the time to share your know-how, tips and techniques and giving us a peek into your world and workflow you follow to produce awesome animal shots.

I loved this class! I don't I tend to be a "pet photographer" but I do want to be a "Pet friendly" photographer! I have gotten lots of tricks and tools to use while photographing occasional clients pets and my own! ( I have a horse, a pony, bunnies, cats, dogs and ducks) I'm super glad I watched the class live and I'm even more glad I bought it so I can re- watch it whenever I want :) (The shoot with the mini horse, dogs, chicken, duck and people was awesome! It loomed like my family picture would look if my husband didn't say "no" on occassion! lol)
