Day 2 Pre-Show

Hello, Internet. Welcome to Creative Live. This is business management for photographers with Sandy Putsch. My name is Susan Rodrick, and I'm going to be your host along with the beautiful and lovely Larreal Abdel. Good morning. How are you doing? Great As good energy here, Creativelive. This morning's awesome. Yes, it is. We have about 10 minutes of pre show, so we're gonna be just checking our audio in our video, making sure everything is running smoothly. Let us know in the chat rooms if you're having any difficulties at all, and we'll get that smooth out and without further ado, would like to introduce our instructor Sandy. Push. How are you doing today? I'm doing great. Thank you. Way undressing anything loud and noisy. I'm gonna take it off. It's probably that's probably good idea. Did you have a good night sleep last night? We kind of did. Yeah, we did. We played around a little bit, but we had a good night's sleep. Good time. Feeling refreshed, right for today? Well, I think we...

'll introduce our studio audience. What? You think that Yes, absolutely. So you ladies had such a good day yesterday was so nice to see you guys really energize and you were taking notes, you know, furiously. And I want to know if you wouldn't mind seeing your name, how people can find you online, like your website or Twitter handle. And then also what you did with the homework last night and how it was sitting here in the audience and learning from Sandy personally. Kelly will start with you, so I'm Kelly from Max Studios Photography. That's M a. K. So our website is www dot max studio images dot com. If you want to check us out, and then there's the links to our Twitter and Facebook through there, ugly enough. What I really learned about myself was from the mood board. It's so funny. I started putting it together and just like looking online and kind of looking for different color inspirations and everything and realise that I really had these two colors that I loved, that I don't even know. I'd like together. And it started getting me thinking about redoing my studio space. So it's interesting to see. And then we kind of joked around. A few of us are sharing room that, like we're wearing our favorite colors we notice after we did the mood boards like, Oh, well, you're you wear coral and you wear blue. That's why you like them. OK, so it kind of got me rethinking in the creative brain, which I don't have a lot of time to do at home. So that was kind of nice. And the mission statement really got me going on. What is my clear vision for my business, and where am I going? And I'd already made one before, And it was interesting how different it was this time. It was, like, totally different. So it was like a really cool learning curve. Okay, my name is Melanie Poteet, and you can find me on my website is www dot Melanie Poteet dot com and that spelled m e l a N e p o T e 80 dot com. And then I have links to my Facebook page, which is the best way to stay in contact with me via social media. I think the one thing that I took away from yesterday that really made the biggest impact on me was sandy squirrel coming in the world is full of flats. Girls that couldn't make up their mind. And that's just because I am a very indecisive person. And I think that really hit me because I dio I tend Teoh, spend more time on my different ideas and what option I should I take and never really making the decision. And so that was kind of a turning point for me yesterday. Teoh really figure out the path, and I think the business plan and all those forms, and like everything that's on that CD, is just overwhelming for the book and which is very exciting for me. So I think being able to see the path that I can take to find a M to get that organized business through the forms and all of that, I'm just very excited about that. So hi, my name is Molly Steel, and with steel photography, my website. It's www dot m steel photography dot com. That's deal with any on the ends, and that's the best way to reach me. There's links to Facebook and email and everything. I think for me again, the mood chart was very It's very good exercise. I think this we're getting trust. This morning we saw in their suitcase. We had all the colors in our bag that were in our mood chart. So that was interesting exercise to do to see really what your style is. And if it carries on to your photography studio everything. I think the other thing that really made an impact me yesterday was Sandy's talk about not working Saturdays anymore. Because for the last 10 years, I've worked Saturdays and, um, it really hit home because Saturdays with having three kids in sports and, you know, husband and everything. I I think I'm not gonna work Saturdays anymore. I'm just in with moving to the new area and everything. It's starting my studio pretty much fresh again. I can make changes and, you know, before I think people are always like what you always works out. And you did this their session on Saturday, and now I'm no one does that anymore. Now they dio So, um, there really hit home because spending time with my husband and my kids and my family is the most important thing. And I think that it really is going to change. I think how we operate. So thank you. Hi. I'm core Willis King and I could be found at CK dash design dot net. Um, there was just a plethora of just felt, really almost overwhelmed by everything that I had learned 43 pages into the business plan, and I'm still not finished. So I'm either incredibly o c d or maybe a little bit of an overachiever. I'm not sure, um, one of the things that you had said at the beginning of the segment yesterday really kind of hit home to me, and that's that. People may forget what you say, but they'll never forget the way that you make them feel. Um, and I don't want to be just a photographer. I want to be absolutely able to capture the story behind every smile for my clients, and I'm hoping to take away more and looking forward to the rest of the segment. My name is Brandy Leaf tea of brandy Lefty photography, and you can find me at brandy lefty dot com and every like Facebook and everything you can be found on their I. I learned a lot yesterday. The biggest thing and what I got most emotional about was deciding on what my perfect day was um, no one's ever asked me that before, and I didn't know how to do that. I mean, we're taught so often to just get through it toe work, to provide and just get through it. And so taking a step back and thinking, What do I want? What do I want to achieve and then being able to create a mission statement that reflected that was so different than I ever expected it to feel? I thought it was gonna be very. I want to capture smiles and love and all these things. But I I want to capture beauty and life, and I want that in my own life for my Children. And, um, that's yeah, that's it. That's it. I'm Beth. I'm an alternative event and lifestyle photographer. You can buy me at Beth Olson creative dot com. You probably google breathless and creative and find a plethora of ways to stalk me on the Internet. I think the biggest thing for me yesterday was when we got to the point of mission statement having to sit down and actually figure out what that is. And I've always felt very tourney in a lot of different directions. and felt very scattered in my focus. And I think sitting down, I realized that there's actually already knew exactly what I wanted to be doing, and I think that this gives me a really good push forward. Teoh cut out all the extra stuff that I've been doing and really focus, so that's super exciting. Thank you so much, ladies for sharing. Appreciate that. All right, we have a just about a minute left. So Laura and I would love to give shoutouts to everyone joining us from around the world, just reading off from our chat rooms where people are joining us from. It's really cool the global community that creativelive is. So let's start. What do you have? What do you have? The rain we have. And through Gunther, who's joining us from Poland this morning?
