Adobe Add Ons

What I want to do now is show you how you can add something, a photo shop that makes it much easier to apply textures to your image. If you look at my photo shop interface, I have an extra little icon right here. It looks like a fly. In order to get that particular icon, you need to visit Ah website, where you can actually download something. The ad to photo shop You want to go to creative dot adobe dot com that's creative dot adobe dot com ford slash Add on What was that? Creative dot adobe dot com Forward slash add ons and what you want to do is you want to look for something that is called the adobe paper texture pro. When you get there, you can search for all sorts of things that you can add to photo shop. Just type the word texture and you will find this particular thing. If you download and install that, then you'll be able to go to the window menu. And there's this area called Extensions in right there. If you were to choose it, then you're going to get that little fly icon that...

's here and If you were to click on the fly on con, this panel will show up. Now. What you can do in here is you're going to see a list of textures, just little thumbnails for those textures, and if you click on one of them, it will open a texture and right away apply it to your picture. You can come in here and then scroll through and click on another texture, and now you're gonna have two of them applied. Scroll down even further and pick another, and you comply all sorts of textures to your image. Just be careful, cause some of these get to be a little bit too detailed like this one for some people that be to detail. If you want to get rid of a texture you'll find within this little panel, there's a check box and each one you've applied and just click on it a second time, and it will remove the texture from your image. You could even come down here, and there's a button called Remove All Textures that I'll get rid of him all. And if you don't not really creative, we're trying to pick out your textures. You could come down here and type in. Just how many do you want and you can click create random combination and it will pick at random. However many you told it supply and it even will pick different ways of applying them. Then with that, each one of these if you look in your layers panel has a mask so that maybe I want to have this really grungy look in the background. And I just turned these on and off to see which one is affecting the trailer the most. Because maybe I don't want it. Maybe it's that one. I can click on its mask. And then if I grab my paintbrush tool, I can paint with black. And I could remove the, uh, that particular effect from the trailer. In this case, it happens to be brightening the trailer. So when I take it off, the trailer is getting little dark, but you get the idea. So anyway, I just find that to be a nice way of working, because it makes it very quick to be able to add multiple textures to your image. And then they're all in your layers panel. You can modify each one lower The opacity of each change the blending mode of each and do all that kind of stuff. But that is called the adobe paper texture. Riser Pro, I think, and you can down load it from the website that I mentioned, which is creative dot adobe dot com Ford slash add ons Eso that's could be a nice wait. It's free if you have ah Photoshopped CC subscription like most people do toe to use Ah, this version of photo shop.

Wow! Very impressed with Ben's course. I've played with filters for a long time, but I still learned a lot. I'm very glad I stopped in for this refresher, and I plan to buy it so I can be inspired by his creative uses of filters.
