Playing with Water

Hey, guys. Welcome to creative lives. Create photography challenge. My name is Justin Were in the Marin Headlands today. We're gonna be playing with water. Capturing water with a really fast shutter speed can be a very cool, creative exercise. The goal here is to see if we can capture a still image of someone interacting with water. This is pretty easy exercise. We're really just gonna play around some water and see if we can create something cool for this challenge, you're gonna need a camera, a lens, some water, lots of light and a friend start camera settings. The key to this whole exercise is having the fastest shutter speed possible. My camera set right now at 18 thousands of a second, which is the faster my camera go. My aperture is at 5.6 in order Accommodate that? My eye eso is at 1600. I'm also shooting in continuous high in order to capture as many frames per second as possible. All right, let's go set up a shot today. I'm gonna have madness kind of splash water on his face a...

nd we're gonna try and capture it the moment it hits his face Let's see if we can do it and go. Nice. Best one yet. All right. I was pretty cool. We'll try some a little different. I want to see Matt pouring water into his hand. We're gonna try and capture that still motion. Hold this handle. High up arena. Catch what's happening beneath it. All right. Nice. Play around some water and have some fun with it. And make sure upload your submissions to Instagram with the hashtag creative photo challenge. I love the format of this class. Each challenge is presented in a quick, yet thorough manner. It is a great way to try new techniques. The best way for me to learn is by doing and the format of this class gives me the perfect opportunity to do so.
