Lazy Lotus - Accessories/Scarves/Earrings

we're now moving on to Jenna. Hello, beauty. How are you? Good. How are you? I'm great. So give the the audience. Please let him know your name and the name of your business. OK? I'm Jenna Henry Wagner. I created Lazy Lotus about a year and 1/2 ago, and we make infinity scarves and covered, but in the hearings, Okay. Yeah. And the lacy low. This is There's a special story with the name or a little bit. So about six years ago now, I moved out here from the east coast, and the lotus flower represents change. It's one of the many meanings of the lotus flower. So I was kind of in accordance with that that I took. The Lotus has a personal symbol in my life and the lazy that kind of got slapped onto it is just a representation of the products that we have, which is just lazy, casual, easy style, that way, kind of emulate. I was looking at this simplicity with a pop. I have Ah, really good friend. She's one of those natural women and she doesn't need a stitch of makeup. Her hair right out of ...

the shower is beautiful, but she does like to pop color, and I am finding a match here, a good client for you. And I'm also wondering if that is your client, that kind of natural person that wants that it is, or just people. Actually, I mean, I basically they designed them for myself. Every single one of these I would wear, and that's how you pick out the fabric. But I like to wear yoga pants and hoodies on a daily basis. So it's just adding something casual and easy to that kind of outfit. Yeah, so that's kind of the vibe that I'm going for you and I love it. There's all different shapes and designs. Where do you get the inspiration from For the different patterns? I mean, I like to stay on trend with different patterns and colors that are going on, but all of our fabrics, or most of our fabrics we try to be as ICO friendly as possible are sourced from remnants on bond kind of repurpose into infinity scarves and our hearings. A lot of them are organic cotton and that we use, so it's just a matter of what I confined and what's available, and I kind of get inspired as I go. And as I look at fabric, Yes. So just going out there, just remembering that you don't have to have that idea coming to it. It sort of comes to you. Just have to participate and take a little action and get out there and exactly the open. Right? Okay. Cool. I just love you know, I hope I'm not putting these thoughts into your head. It sounds like you're just on that Paid. Yeah. No, absolutely. I hear this again and again in conversation, going around. Great. So Okay, so earrings, studs way got the infinity scarves. And are there any other lines that you're testing? Or we do have some other products in the mix. And again as trying to stay as equal friendly as possible. We've been doing hoodies and taking leftover material from our scarves and lining hoodies. And I play around all the time with all of our scrap fabric and headbands and bracelets and stuff like that. So eventually you might see those products on Billy's voter shelves. But, you know, we're testing them out. Okay, being so the shelves, Your online. I am and you're in a live craft shows and art shows. Yep, and we're in about a 20 different retail source in the big Okay, Got it. And so is there any future vision that you have for where lazy lotuses heading, you know, for the time being, were kind of just taking things as I go. A lot of this started up because I'll be doing volunteer work in Africa next year. So it was kind of fund that, um so in the process of doing that and kind of going through that, we'll see where it ends up going. Yeah. So how is the fun going? It's good. It's leave in February. So fingers crossed another big plane ticket. At least that's great. That's great. So I think this is interesting. What will into your work. Are you doing? What's the purpose of that? I'll actually be working with a fair trade cooperative. It's Ah, women's cooperative that manufacturers handmade stuff like infinity scarf, scarves, bags, things like that, and I actually my day job. I am in the tech industry into databases, so I'm gonna be kind of incorporating both my side job and my day job into that. Okay. Wow. So artistic and very smart. And with an analytical mind sounds So how do how do you balance the two if they run into each other quite frequently? Is that a nice running or one of those crashes where, like, everything falls off and makes a loud noise? I can't lie. There's been a couple crashing. Okay, don't tell us. Maybe maybe give us an example of a crash that you'd like to share. And how did you work through it? It was like during holiday time last year. I had no idea that things would be as crazy as they were. So I found myself at work packaging materials to go out and scarves to go out. So there was a little bit of ah, running in there and kind of balancing the two and making sure that I divide enough attention to both places. But for the most part, you know, I'll be at happy hour with work and all these stamping backs of earrings and stuff like that. So it's a good balance. Okay, Good. Yeah. You have a new plan for this year, right? We're just getting started on the holiday season and you remember last year, and you want to do it differently? Yes. We're always trying to learn how to do things better over time. And that's a big thing here, creativelive, which is educating the entrepreneur the artist and getting them to iterated and to think more about how they can just keep getting better and better. More and more prosperous. Yeah, I've definitely learned from last year. Started inventory in August, so I'm well on my way. Okay, congratulations. That's incredible. So, eyes there, anything else that you wanted to know about you or your business or anything that you'd like to share with us? I think that about sums it up. I mean, you can always find our products on what retail stores were in online at Lazy Lotus designs that fantastic. But that's the place to look for any information, or just to see kind of how we got started. And the about us section is always a good place. Look, are you gonna be posting photos? You know of your volunteer trip, or you gonna let us know how it's going on? 11 Idea that free. Take it, actually. Definitely a direction. I think you know you have current customers that are. I want to know. You know, you told him the story. I want to know. I wanted to see how your trip is going for sure. And maybe you'll see some designs that will inspire you and you'll bring that back. That's part of that's all of our hope. Okay, Incredible. It was really nice to meet you meeting you too. You're very welcome.
