Nidhi Chinani - Illustrator/Giftware

We're moving on now, Teoh. Every day, love art. Hi, Donna. Right. Okay. Here you go, Donna. You're very welcome. So let us know your name and the name of your business. So my name is Donna, and I'm actually need each Donny's assistant and the brand that she is promoting or that that is her brand is everyday love art. So isn't it fantastic as an artist having someone who's an assistant of yours, That can be your ambassador. What's it like to be an ambassador for an artist? I feel very honored because I've worked with Nitti for the past two years and seeing her grow is I mean, honestly, it's an accomplishment for both of us. And I love this brand. Um, I've just I've seen everything happened to her that I think is what her art is worth. Yeah, so I enjoy it. I enjoy it. So what part of her story particularly are you linking onto? Are you in a aspiring future? Solo independent artists? I am. I'm an artist. We are in completely different. I guess you can say she's an illustrator. I'm a fine ...

artist. And so we met through art school and Like I said, I got to see her grow. And yes, she's inspiring her successes is something that one day I would like. And I mean, I love helping her in this sense. So, yeah, I'm sure she is appreciative of it, for sure. Okay, so let's go through some of the art and the design. So these up here are San Francisco inspired. I remember when she wasn't living in San Francisco and she had always wanted to live in the city. So a lot of it is inspired by couples and also, at times, just an individual. Mostly females just living their lives, enjoying those moments, the small moments of happiness and a lot of animals as well. Animal themed, beautiful. So we have a stationary. We have magnets. We have a little bitty magnets. All right, let's go behind you. Here on the table. So first nitty actually began Prince with Prince. And so this is our large prints and they sell for 30. You can find them online at everyday love art dot com. And we have a medium size which we don't actually really bring out the craft shows, but you can find them online and then small has just become like a new thing for us to sell during crashes here. Yeah, back again. OK, so we have a book here is Well, can you talk about this book? It says it's a sample. Yes, so we have everyday love art. Volume two. There was a Volume one, but it's all it's all gone and we're not too sure when Volume three will come out. But, yes, this showcases Nitties art between 2011 and 2012. So who is the ideal customer here? You said it's for inspiration and fun and bringing life into the city that maybe the busy as that is that primarily, who who purchases well, honestly, I I personally feel like this art is for everyone, anyone who may have kids or is just looking for something that will lift them up during the day. Maybe a bad day, just those moments so we don't have those days. You just wanna have some fun, you know? There you go. There's a little bear, one where just showering is like fun and everything like that. You know, when you have a little bear doing it, there's like a creativity to it that, you know, we just want to share with everyone on. Also, you know, this is beautiful here with, you know, just finding a butterfly on your nose and just remembering to play. You know, it seems like there's a lot of reminders of how playful and how light and how fun life can be. That's a feeling I'm getting here. So it's definitely coming across now that you're even pointing it out more specifically every day, you can find something just to be happy about. And that's why it's called every day. Love. Okay, everyday love art. So we'll talk about the commerce part. Is this engine mostly online or what is the The engine? I don't remember, she said. There's a retail store. We don't have a brick and mortar kind of way. Do you sell in other stores? So if you look online on our website, if there is a listing that you could find stores in San Francisco way, have a story, a store in Berkeley, there is a store as well in Alameda, and so you can find her work there, okay, and mainly we do sell online. We first started with at sea. Yeah, and so. But, I mean, there's also that personal relationship that we find is the best when it comes to corruptions, because you really get to know the person who's buying the artwork and you can you can relate to them and communicate with them and really build that relationship. So I want to get into your mind a little bit because you're an assistant and I know that there may be other assistants out there joining us. And what are some best practices? What? What would you recommend other assistance to Dio if they're going Teoh, take on an apprenticeship or in a to be an assistant, definitely be involved. You know, I understand that there are some obligations that you may not be not enough time, but, you know, once you start investing a lot of that time to be with that artist, not only are you enhancing like their career and pushing it forward, but you yourself you're learning. You'll find that in the future you're going to end up using the same skills. See, There you have it. Yeah, and then that's a great reminder, because it is often hard to humble yourself Maybe if you have a big dream or you're like, Well, I'm an artist, too, And I just graduated from great school in this program, and I have all these amazing skills, but the skills are also learned as you go right, because there's still of doing it. And then there's a skill of being in business doing it right. And have you learned some some juicy little tidbit about the business part of it? Definitely. Definitely. There's and there's a lot of trial and error involved with as well. And it's that risk that you have to take it. And I'm very comfortable talking about it because I've been able to see it. Yeah, so And it was that something that you were you a much of a risk taker before you began? No, no, not at all. I mean, it's scary out there and just see someone make it. You know, it's inspiring. Like I said, and it's it's just it's very inspiring, and it's exciting because you get to see all the time put in and all the all the benefits absolutely well. You are an amazing representatives. Yeah, you've shared so heart Feli and thoughtfully not just about the artist and the beautiful art, but also about what it's like to be an assistant. So thank you for those tips. And it was really nice to meet you, units. Yeah. Thank you.
