Available Support System

So let's go just touch on some available support systems because besides your family, amen and hallelujah were in the age of the Internet, there are lots of different ways for you to find support for my journey. T getting here. My friends and family, I would say We're very supportive, but they were clueless. So even though I had a supportive family, I don't necessarily have the specific support that I wanted and needed. So let's go over where and how to find your people and get the support and like, mindedness that works for you. So here's some options here. The options that I have have sound coaching. Of course I'm biased. But there is something so great about coaching, because here is a person whose entire job it is to withhold judgment and ask you questions and make sure you get clarity on what it is you need as opposed to all the sugars that are in your head. They're gonna help you get from point A to point B, quicker and more effectively than then you can yourself, and there's som...

ething to about giving someone some money. If it's a little if it's a lot like putting the money where your mouth is and saying like, yes, here. That I think makes people show up. I rarely have clients that don't show up for their sessions. It happens so rarely. Ah, and it's because my sessions air $300 a pop. So they're they're showing up. When you find a coach she, like, you're gonna notice there, they're gonna have probably a multitude of offering. So, ah, lot of coaches work one on one. Or maybe have membership sites or programs like this that they offer through their website. So see who you resonate with, see what offer of theirs works Best free your learning style as well as your budget on. Then you know, hop on board, right and try it out and see who works best for you. Who do you resonate with and on that note. If you want to work with me soon rather than later, have two spots open to start working with me in July. Goto when I grow up, coach dot com and click the coaching button and you'll get all that information. But after those spots are taken, I'm booked till November, and my rates are gonna go up for the first time in the years, which is scary because I know I'm expensive. So jump on that. If you're interested, community sites just like my private Facebook group that I've been touting so many coaches and other you know, teachers and people who are in helping professions or just, you know, bloggers, you know, like a private Facebook. Groups specifically have really taken off. So you go to when I grow up coach dot com slash day job decks Put in your email so you could get the link to my private Facebook group That's totally free. One of my former clients and current friends, Halle Gray, she runs a marketing company called Evolved and Succeed that a lot of people who like me really resonate with her stuff, cause she's like No Bs and she's really smart. And she has a free Facebook group, so you could go to evolve and succeed dot com and follow the links. Also a shout out to the Putty Tribe, which is not free but made up on Lee of multi passionate people. And you could find that through putty like dot com. That's my friend Emily site and If you're looking to build a handmade business, carry Chafin, who's another teacher here, a creative live and a best selling author. If you sign up for her newsletter list, you get an invite into her private Facebook group, too. So those are some really great places to start on. Then, of course, as you may be, research coaches, you know, see what they have to offer and again, who you resonate with. Meet up dot com groups. This is if you want to get away from your computer screen and meet people in real life. Imagine that Zo meet up dot com is of different groups throughout the United States or groups everywhere anyone can join. Anyone could start a group, so you just plug in your location and who you're interested in meeting with. And hopefully there is a group that already exists that pops up that you could join. Otherwise you could start something that you don't see, and that's a great way to find people in real life. I mentioned this yesterday. This is my made up word that I love and accountability buddy Accountability body. So hopefully someone comes to mind that you already know who is working on a passion project or who's also doing a side hustle. It doesn't have to be anything that's related directly to what you're doing. But if you want to reach out to them and say you want to be my accountability buddy, if they say yes, then you to get to decide how often you're checking in with each other and what format you're using to check in with each other. So I know people who send each other emails every Friday to talk about what they accomplish that week and to set goals for the next week. I know people who jump on Skype the first Saturday of every month and talk about what happened that month. Their goals for the next month. I just heard of Ah, friend of mine, created her own kind of mastermind group. That's only four people small, but they're there on a platform where, like it's a different forum. So when they have a win to share, they go to the wind forum and they, you know, type in their win or if they have a question, they want someone to look at the copy for their new offer. They put it up in the forum. And so there's constant interaction, whatever works for you and your accountability counts. And if you don't know someone in real life, then get the to the shot because everyone in the chat is doing the same thing. And so, you know, put it out there. I wanted accountability, buddy. Buddy up whoever is the next person, that is Yes, that's me like, yes, go do it. Otherwise, any of those you know, community sites that we talked about earlier, that you're in just at just ask. I'm looking for an accountability buddy. Anyone want to be my accountability? Uh, you'll find your people right and then classes, uh, whether it's in real life or online. If you take a class and something that you're genuinely interested in, uh, it's a win win because you're gonna learn about the saying that you're genuinely interested in. And I find a lot of the times when I take classes. I wind up with referrals, which is great, and this started for me back, and I probably 2008 when I took Holly Becker's blogging your Way class. Holly runs the hugely popular to core eight the number eight blogged, and she announced that she was doing this like blogging class. And I was a fan of her block and said, I'd love to learn. You know, Holly's techniques on blogging and I signed up and I found myself the only coach in a sea of creative people, and I kind of went like, Oh, I kind of hit the jackpot here. I didn't mean to do this but this is great. And because I was genuinely interested in the class, I was very involved in all the discussions, and I got clients like for years through that class, which was amazing. More recently, I took an entrepreneur class through an icy dot gov for free in Manhattan and got to know a group of like two dozen or less other business owners. We took this intense of course together, and one of them recommended her sister to my site, and I got a client like it's such a win win. So it might not feel so obvious, but fine a class that you want to take, whether it's online or in real life and you could reap the rewards and like a marketing way as Well, talk to me about anything. I might have messed. I'd love to hear this in the shot too. What did I miss? Any support system that you that you have, You know, you could think back, Like, what have you done in the past or what are you looking to do now that maybe I didn't mention we have People were just talking about what? How important it is to get that family support on. Then people are jumping in and saying, Wait, how do I get in Accountability, Buddy Magen in the chat rooms on Facebook and in community groups. Yeah, that's what they're there dot com So important, so important. So that's great. We love to hear if anything comes up in the chat that I missed. Please put it in the chat and we'll bring it up in a second, but I'm glad we're all out of at a loss. Eso There's space in your workbook. Page 54. What are you gonna research and or sign up for? Today? I have a feeling that there's no one that wouldn't benefit from at least one of these things. You know, coaching a meet up dot com group A membership group. A class and accountability buddy. Just It doesn't have to be complicated or complex. Just write down. If you don't have the workbook, put it on a piece of paper. What support structure? Can you take action on today, Heather? Which one do you feel you need or want? I think for me probably to find an accountability would be a really good thing for me. I feel like you guys could be anybody not into. Right. Done s so easy. Love that. Fighting in accountability, buddy. Great lives. What about you? What resonates with you? Totally agree about the counter bill? A buddy. That's a great term me and, um, and also finding more community sites. Um, yours that I joined last night, then also may be joining up with Carrie Chapin's group. Yes, she's another person I really, really love. So Great. Yeah. Good community sites and accountability about a scene like that. That combination for you. It's really great

Fantastic course! I highly recommend it. Michelle is a wonderful teacher: energetic, passionate, funny, and encouraging. Kenna is also a great facilitator; the most natural and genuine host I've seen so far on Creative Live! Great job both of you. And a well-deserved shout-out to the in-class participants, who were engaged and candid about their own situations. Best of luck to both of you with ditching your day jobs. This class has given me the structure and several practical tools to facilitate my own transition to creative entrepreneurship and out of a soul-sucking job. Michelle shared many supportive messages that made me look more confidently at my "uniquity" and its value in the creative marketplace; as a result, I am now eager to take the action towards building my art business. I will use my S.N.A.P. to comfortably and confidently get to where I want to be, so that I don't snap at my day job in the process ;-)

This course is truly AMAZING! I've been in hyper - forward motion since the first day! Thank you Michelle! This course was honestly different then any other! It gave actionable items, where to find support, and tons of yummy resources (which if very time consuming and somewhat impossible when you have a DAY JOB!) My Day Job is actually "ditching" me but by having a plan (which Michelle gives step by step details how to do), I'm totally comfortable and even EXCITED to be DITCHED! Several items that she shared I've already been able to implement into my creative business plan AND my personal life! Double whammy! I ended up buying the course to make sure I didn't miss anything! Super excited to continue and wish everyone luck on their own creative journey! ~Enjoy!

I was one of the fortunate studio members of this class. Wow! So much great information, step by step instructions, enthusiastic encouragement and fun! Michelle takes you through the baby steps needed to form a solid foundation to get ready to ditch your day job and do it with a plan, a safety net and a support network. A common sense guide to doing something uncommon and (to some) seemingly nonsensical. The videos will teach, inspire and encourage, the workbook will make it real for your own situation and the resources that are provided will be invaluable as you prepare to ditch your day job. You will be so glad you purchased this class!
