Remember that the things that you know you might assume that others Noah's well, and you'll discover that really people live in their own different worlds, and they don't know what you know. They don't have the benefit of the experiences that you have in wherever it is that you're watching. Remember, I'm gonna just keep beating this drum. You have something really special in unique to say and have the confidence that what you say is designed to bring value toe others. It's ultimately about building relationships and some things you ca ndu to grow. That confidence is watch other people's stories and how to ah, find the right people to follow and how to get others to follow. You engage with people when you see a snap that you enjoy. You can swipe up on any snap that you're watching, and you can chat it somebody and give them a comment. It's that simpl...

e as you're watching them. If they allow you to snap them back and you want to go ahead, do it just make sure it's in context and that you're not saying Hey, now go watch my story. That's one of the Snapchat tickets of what Nuts to do. Send private snaps when they're appropriate. Add value to the conversation, whether it's your own snaps that you're putting out there or whether you are engaging in interacting with others. Always seek to bring value. And remember this four step process to building relationships and really selling mawr of anything like me. Know me, trust me, pay me in that order. If you are going at it and saying, Pay me by my stuff before you build the relationship, then you're basically like the door to door salesman that you open up the door. You know, when it's dinner time and the kids are screaming and there's food on the table and everything is a mess. And they're saying, Do you want to buy a vacuum cleaner? And of course not. I don't want to give you any of my money. I'm annoyed that you're here. I don't trust you because you're showing up at this hour. I don't know who you are, and I definitely don't like you right now. Well, people who use Snapchat or any other social platform to go on and say, Here's what I'm selling or not about building relationship, and that is a key for your business. Always build a relationship like me. Then get to know me. That's how you get to trust me. And then and only then does it open the door for a transaction to take place. I always sell last, if at all. Now let's talk about building relationships on Snapchat. And to do that, I've got a really special guest that I may introduce you here introduced to you here in just a moment. His name is John Capos. Mom, they will make a refund that I want the milkshakes anymore because I didn't have any money. Snapchat is It's your turn to snap me back. You know, when we talk about small business people using Snapchat to build relationship with customers, I could think of nobody who is a greater example than this. I love watching your stories because you really are an ideal example of how somebody that is running a small business can use Snapchat to engage with customers. So talk a little bit about your Snapchat discovery, how you came into it and then how you I discovered that you could use it to build relationships and grow your business. All right, so let's start for the lily four years ago. Yes, I was on Snapchat nearly four years ago. I asked for it and I got on it. I thought, Let's use it now back then, Joe, it's not what it is now. On day I started, I saw something in it. I'm pretty much not like you, but I'm a nearly adopt. I love you think and my kids were honored as well. But this is not potential. But the problem waas it had a bit of a bad reputation and you know that it was sexting of all the time. And so for a while I just didn't say anything to any. And I just lost my confidence Still snapping skills that I had discount codes I had customers and then guys like yourself, you know, very, very two years down the track. It's like, Do it, Do it, Do it. Yes, really, I'm just like Banks snaps. That's that. I've snapped everything. And what I found was when I put my snap Oh, on the stock front door. I had one person every day using that step. So I've got a mess following through my businesses. Now cheats come in, adults, come in a tight chocolate. Johnny, Can I be on your story? Sure, let's do a story. So, yeah, it's going from it sort of flat out of the if he and the national title well, and it's really since stories came about and you know you actually have storylines that you continue you being the Willy Wonka of Sydney. You actually have ample Loompas working there for you. Talk a little bit about those guys and how you work them into your story. So before and I know you'll explains face filters. It'll that later on. So great thing is it's Snapchat. You could take a filter of your face and change, so I've got a few characters about the NBA lumbers and that's people like had that you do it. It's really easy. Wait, This wife across and the snap goes really fast. It does that voice and so what I do. People ask me how I do it. You've got to speak slowly. So say, I've got my hot chocolate, that the boat And I'm saying I'm looking over at the camera That way I'm going on Columbus. I'm looking down there looking up at the angle of the camera and outside. I'll speak really slowly. Say yes, Chuck. But John, what do you need? And then if you fast forward that it makes that sound So I've got that I got Johnny Chocolate. He's the chocolate dealer. I don't You know who he is, but he's put a face on him. God, Antonio, just trouble it. Johnny, Johnny Chocolate. He's body God, I've got vanilla chocolate. Who is a drag? Duane Barry to Judge Johnny got characters, and I just discovered that you purchased a geo filter for this event. I just saw it. So they're not only so two things just happened. Yeah, So two things have happened. We're gonna talk about geofilters in the next segment, but if you'll snap a picture of Johnny or a video of him right now. Then I want you to swipe through the filters and you're gonna find one. I'll be quiet for a second, Johnny. Just talk to the people while they video you. I got guys. It's made chocolate. Johnny. OMG! This was SO awesome! I've been trying to 'get' Snapchat for a while and it wasn't clicking. Watching Joel pulled it all together. He was funny, engaging and made it so clear!
