this may be the most fun that you have had with a creative life in your life. It's going to be very interactive and very engaging. And this whole Snapchat thing there was a time when it was believed that Snapchat was just for kids or undesirables. It's not the case anymore. In fact, if you look at the gray hair here and as I look at our audience and those that are watching at home, it's a very varied and broad demographic. It's not just millennials anymore in Snapchat is becoming increasingly important. So let's talk a little bit about what you guys are gonna learn today, going to tell you what Snapchat is and why it's not just important, but why it is essential, especially if you're growing a brand or a business of any size. Gonna show you hands on how to sign up, how to get started with Snapchat. So I understand we have some complete newbies here in the audience today, and many of you watching at home are thinking What is the Snapchat thing? And maybe you're overwhelmed with all the ...
features and functionality because I'll be the first to confess that the Snapchat interface has a lot going on twice white this way. Do I swipe that way? Do I tap here? Here. What do I do with all this? We're going to de mystify all that. I'm gonna show you how to use every single snap chat function and those here in the audience you're actually gonna hands on do it. And those of you at home, you have your phone's out you're going to get. This is well, and you are going to become a Snapchat pro today. You're gonna learn Mawr hands on today. Then you're going to get from reading any article effect. This is going to be the most comprehensive. Easy to understand training on Snapchat that's ever been given. Gonna show you how to tell stories with Snapchat. Who here has a story to tell. Everybody's got a story to tell. Everybody's got one and I'm gonna show you how to do that. How to be engaging with Snapchat going to show you how to build your brand on Snapchat and it doesn't matter. What size business do we have some business owners here? Okay, small business medium. Anybody got a big corporation? They're on here Some of you watching it at home. But we could have some CEOs watching today. Wondering. All right, I've heard about the Snapchat thing forever. How do we do this? It is inappropriate platform to build your brand. And I'm going to demonstrate that today both through small brands and entrepreneurs that are using it and Fortune 500 companies that are using it gonna show you how to engage with people on Snapchat. Because social media is all about engagement. Gonna show you how to repurpose your snap so that once you've done it, you might be like But, Joel, I thought these things disappear in 24 hours. Why would I create content that disappears in 24 hours, going to provide some really compelling reasons why? And then I'm gonna show you how to not let that content you've created goto waste and how to repurpose that. Gonna show you how to get followers on Snapchat because it's social networking. If you don't have anybody watching your snaps, you're just snapping into the wind, right? I want to show you how to get people toe follow you, and I'm going to show you how to market your own brand in business with what we call custom geofilters, a function that Snapchat has really been pushing these past few months and just in the last couple days, already have new features and functionality. And I'm gonna teach you proper Snapchat etiquette or what I like to call snap check it. I made that up all night and I coined that. And because there are do's and don't, there are ways to go about this and there are ways to fail. And unfortunately, people without the knowledge and the training head into it without really understanding what they're doing. And it's an easy way to head for fail. I don't want anybody here to fail. I want you all to get it and succeed with it so really quickly why I'm qualified to be here and teach today a little background about myself. I've actually been in the online business since 1995 and I actually had my first computer when I was 16 years old and was dialing in to the bulletin board services that predates the Internet back in 1980. So now you understand why there's the gray hair totally dated myself. I've actually been dialing into the online world for 36 years. As of right now, I am a New York Times best selling author. I've written 13 books I've created. An IPhone application that hit number one in the world for over three weeks is a novelty application. If you don't know it is, you can Google that and and look it up. I'm an international keynote speaker have spoken all over the world. I love being able to teach and train and equip and inspire people a social media marking strategists, having worked with some Fortune 500 companies and also small brands. I'm currently a brand evangelists for several brands, and I am a Snapchat enthusiast. I really love this little application, and I've got to say when I first heard about it, like many who are listening, I thought, But isn't this for kids? Isn't this for weirdos? Let's just go ahead and say, Let's just put it out there, Okay, I've said it, its done, and no, it's not. It wasn't until about November of 2015 that I finally paid attention. A couple of my friends that were using Snapchat and, uh, I was persuaded to try it myself, and I went into it with curiosity, saying, I don't get it. I don't get it. How many of you said that? I don't get it. That's why would I use this app to take pictures and videos that disappear? But I paid attention, a couple of my friends and they finally persuaded me and I said, OK, I'm a progressive here in technology. I'm a futurist. I'm not gonna leg behind. I'm gonna get in the sandbox and let's see what we can build with it. And it took me just a few days to finally begin to understand the power of Snapchat. And if you are here or Europe home wondering and asking the same question. What is this thing and why should I care? I'm going to make it clear for you today.
