Direct Snaps & Private Only Features
there we are in our main screen. This time we're gonna swipe from right from left to right. So we're looking at the left side. This is where your private snaps are located. This is where you have direct conversations. Your story is your public timeline. That is the story that you want. Anybody who's following your wants to view you to see your private snaps are for private conversations between you and a very specific individual or a group of individuals. Okay, so you can see here by the colors that I've got a text staff from double exposure. Debbie and Josette have sent me these air, The photos somebody watching at home. Very nice. Thank you for snapping majors. That and then the purple ones. There's my buddy Tim, who is on fire, apparently. Or maybe I'm on fire. He's watching me from his computer. That's great. Now, when you're in private snaps, you'll notice that the snap I just clicked from Tim. Hi, Tim, by the way, is now outlined in purple. Now, since I'm still on this page, you'...
ll see right underneath his name. It says press and hold, delete, replace. So watch what happens when I tap it. It's solid purple again. It gives you one replay before it disappears. And now I can actually tap to it one more time. And I can watch that same snap from him once more because I'm on fire. Apparently, notice it doesn't say tap and hold a replay again. You get one view at it now it's gone forever. Now let's say I want to reply back to Tim. I simply swipe from left to right just like that. And now you'll see by the name above where it says, Tim, I am in private. Chat with him. I always want to make sure you know if you're having a private chat or you're posting to your public story. There are too many people who have posted something privately, maybe completely appropriate for the person they're posting, too, but not for public consumption. So just make sure you're sending to the right people. Now that we're here, I'm going. You have access to the same tools here and some others. So by clicking the circle that's at the bottom there, I now have access to my cameras and I'm gonna go, Tim, you're on fire. Okay, so I'm gonna do that. And I'm gonna go to my stickers and I am gonna find my emojis and let's see, where is that little fire thing? Um, there it is Like that. Now you could see again. We're careful about who were sending it to see. It says Tim weighed at the bottom. And the arrow that's on the right indicates that I'm gonna send it to him. So I'm gonna tap the arrow, and it is now sending in this private check. Boom. Done. Okay, raise it. Just sent me a tax chat. And there it is. It's actually he sent me a bit. Emojis. Ah, look at you're a fan. You got me on your shirt. That's awesome. So now let I'm actually go ahead and use you as an example here. A few of the things that we can do. Once we're in this private chat, you'll notice there's five icons at the bottom. We already use the middle one, which is access to your camera with one on the left gets us access to the camera roll. This is the only time that you can send a picture to somebody directly so I can pick a photo from my camera roll. You cannot. You can upload to memories, but you can't upload directly to your Snapchat timeline. You can send a picture from your camera, roll directly to an individual. So I've selected this one of me holding the mevo camera, and I'm gonna click the arrows. And now I have just sent him this private photo. This is one of the reasons that Snapchat was known to use for the whole private messaging thing and have some people were headed for inappropriate uses is because they could send direct pictures from their camera. Roll is Well, okay, so we've done photo, I can also on the far right side, as rays already demonstrated, as I have access to all my emoji stickers in bit Emojis. And so there we go. I just sent him instantly a a friend Mogi back. So Cannell's actually demonstrating one of the other features right now by using the call feature. So there is actually if I click join, we are now actually having a voice call. Yes, we are. So they have a phone built in to Snapchat. So just like you would skype somebody, you can instantly by clicking the phone icon right down their second icon. They can. It says. They're calling you and you can pick up if you want to or not. And then I can go by and hang up. Now let's say that I just want to leave a voice message. I click the phone and I hold it. So now I'm sending a recording to Kunal That's going to show up as a private snap to him and gun hit. You should have it hit. Play. There it is. Finally, without going a to in depth on it. If I click the camera, it is now doing a video call to him. You guys know that Snapchat did that? There he is right there. So, uh, so we're on. We're having a video call right here, and I'm little and he's big. And there you go. Nice to see you. So the private function of Snapchat, which you get again from the main from your main video screen to swipe from left to right. And now we're in here where we can have all kinds of private conversations. Text, emojis, phone calls, video calls, phone messages. It's all here in the private
