Action - Complete Supplier Checklist

in this video, you're going to complete something called the supplier order checklist. And these are all the questions you're going to want to have answered before you send payment for your order to your supplier? So this is the process where you initiate the order. You say, hey, I'm like your sample. I'm ready to place a full order for your product and then you give them your questions. So to get started, open up your resource packet and click on # eight. And here are all the questions that we want to have answered by your supplier before you send them payment. So now I'm gonna go over to WhatsApp and you can see my conversation with my supplier. So here on WhatsApp I said, hey Patan, the double dog leash sample you sent me looks great. I would like to place an order for 100 units. What is the soonest you can get this order ready for me? And he said The price of the double dog leash is $2. per piece, 100 pieces. Shipping cost is $170 five Fedex and 4 - seven working days. So we alread...

y answered one of our questions here, the supplier, shipping services, V necks And next up they said the delivery time is 5-10 days and we will send you the P. I. or proforma invoice to you later by email. So I'm gonna click asked because the suppliers said they're going to be sending me that invoice. So now let's keep going. That sounds great, thank you. I have some questions about packaging. How many dog leashes will you include in each package? What is the total number of packages you will be shipping? What are the package dimensions? And what does the package weight? Now? One thing that's very important to note here is Amazon does not want you to send them packages that weigh over £50 and that's because they need extra manual assistance to lift and carry those packages and amazon will flag your account for it. So if your supplier responds to this question saying that any of your packages are gonna weigh over £ you're gonna want to ask your supplier if they can break that into smaller packages Where none of the packages they're shipping to Amazon will weigh over £50. And this is really important. You want to make sure that none of your packages are over £50 because it's just going to add a lot of headaches and frustration down the road. So here my supplier said 50 pieces is the amount of units per package. So I'm going to type that in the number of packages is to The package dimensions and they gave it to me in cm. So we're gonna need to convert that 2". I'm gonna open up a tab on google and just type in centimeters, two inches And they said it's 40 x 40 x 40, so it's about 16". And for the package. Wait, they said 22 kg. So I'm gonna convert that to pounds And that works out to be £48.. package. So we got lucky here, that's under the £50 limit. But if yours was over 50 lb, you're gonna want to ask your supplier to break that into smaller packages. Next step. Hey Patan. Yes. Let's answer my questions. Thank you. I thought of two more questions for you is the Fedex shipping by Air. Now it's really important that you get your products delivered by air because the alternative shipping by sea can take weeks and weeks and we don't want that. Now it's pretty safe to assume that my supplier is going to ship by air because if you remember earlier in our conversation They said it would take 5-10 days to be delivered. But I thought I would just confirm it because why not? And the second question is if I send you product barcodes, can you put them on the packaging for each double dog leash? And this is for this question here on our supplier order checklist. Every product on amazon needs to be labeled with something called F. N. S. K. U. Barcodes. And that's something that amazon is going to generate for you. You can have your supplier do that for you Or you can have Amazon do it for you at a fee of 20 cents per product. So we might as well ask our supplier because ideally they can do it for us for free and will save an extra 20 cents per product which may not sound like a lot, but it can quickly add up. So my supply responded yes, we shipped by air and yes, no charge to you. We'll do that for you. And then I just said one last question for this first order, can I pay you with Paypal? And then I gave them my email address where they can send a Paypal invoice, our request for payment on Paypal. And for this first order, it's really important that if possible, we want to pay our supplier with Paypal. You still are building a new relationship with them and there's more trust because you ordered a sample and it went well, but it's still better to play it safe than sorry. And Paypal is the safest way to pay your supplier. If your supplier were unable to deliver on their order for any reason, most likely you'll be able to get a refund through Paypal. And so people is a form of protection. Now in the future, if you build a relationship with your supplier and you really trust them, then you might want to choose a different payment option. But since this is the first time you're placing a full order, use Paypal if possible. So they said Yes, you can pay by paypal 4% paypal fee added on cost. We'll send you check your email. So I'm gonna click on asked and that's it. After checking my email, I found the pro form of invoice which acts as a receipt for this transaction And I checked it out and everything looks good. It's 100 double dog leash is $2.50 apiece. They included the shipping costs and that 4% paypal fee. So I'm gonna mark that as received. And for the Paypal invoice requests, I received an email where the Supplier said, Hey, pay me that $437 using paypal so I can mark that as received, pause this video now and go complete your supplier. Order checklist in this video, You completed your supplier, order checklist in the next video. You're gonna pay your supplier.
