And so again in between what is dawn doing over there? You don't repairs on your dawning just improving the costumes ugo these little things that happen like the booties that just a little bit loose some puts a little bit of hat elastic and just so that sits bit on the leg tile was looking good in the last one just so you could keep it up keep that okay just sort of keeps it in shot oh last good is just solve it loose no maybe you couldn't put a stitch behind this here sorry sort of that's enough of that okay, I knew um I'm sure someone's coming in soon but just when you get a chance very big babies I don't think it matters that you can see the skin no it's quite nice so what size question was she and uh I'm not sure I think it was a large or sent to wash my hands every time on set you've got you're washing your hands in between every babies jonah will be doing that in here a swell it's really important really, really important. You know so many babies together at one time um it's you ...

know, a lot of protocols that we have on set that we followed for years and years and years a very, very important before in between fibrous course force washington's well, I really appreciate that you I talked about earlier how um it's seems everyone seems so calm because they know exactly what they're doing and yet that's why it's able to be calm because that's exactly right so many times and you know I know that the mother's room is being managed that everyone will be happy and you know, dawn, I'm sorry jonah and natalie are very attuned to all that sort of thing, so yeah, it makes me more relaxed so the phone will come in when they're ready exactly so the first um the first baby bit the tail the second baby did he yawn? What are some of the things that as he has no ideas? You see babies through things? Does that change what you're shooting or does it change the way that jon and natalie are interacting? I look, it would be nice to have a baby sitting there with a lovely smile now that we've got a couple of different expressions but that's one of the nice things about photographing babies at this age is that you never know what gish it's that you never know whether you're going to get someone you warning like that just be really for every your moment on don's always there watching every little bit of the costume um nearly said it was doing the thing and joel not you know you need to have an incredible amount of trust in people um and there's only two people in the world who I am and I say this all the time who I trust to stand next to a baby and just walk back to the camera and now everything's fine so you know that those sorts of um safety issues are very very important and we make it look really like you but that's what you know professional student make it look so easy that you think you could do it yourself then you're trying to say we're really for me it's cooking yeah yeah so yeah yeah it's pretty pretty like you but we're getting there you know it's it's looking good fantastic yeah is that what you envisioned? Absolutely the rich the costumes were really rich the sunflowers really rich it couldn't be any better maybe have a baby look let you take it away uh corliss corliss on your camille and justin justin I call us showing you change when you're doing I saw the photo of you sitting on the floral sofa yes go funny yeah and is it a suit? He was getting ready for a wedding. Oh, it had the price tag on the way we're offering it's like oh my god I didn't but photographing in the store and rang the same e I would do but know that come through and I'll show you the city I'm brian if we got one of um the other this is some last baby so you know we've already photographed the sunflower and the center right? And so this is really just about him sitting on this little cushion here come and have a look just my just steer mrs corliss um they're rock and jonah um is standing with him and so what we're gonna do support sit you guys on that story brian you know what I think if you moved in that that room so when um mama dada sitting near he can't see that candid eyes looking screen thing well it's the same snooze knows yeah he's taking it all in oh my goodness what's going on here mash my turn to see him that's yeah all right, so we'll never see him down. Okay he's pretty friend oh yeah gets a little shy like me but you know you hold onto that not in your hands and you guys just kind of make away so it's really important that you live stream or anything you know natalie will be you're doing all right but by all means have a look so you consume you just turn it yes go around those ankles don't oh okay that rex rothe seriously check saying dogs all around the world yeah, I don't know what did you did you have a chance to do that? You know I'm not gonna be quick someone district front has just lost video hey um let's go down to tense I could take it back to where it was like I don't have a fabulous six but he's a lot bigger yeah oh you tell me look if you e let's just get it couple down yeah can I see him no that teo but how does it run yeah you might be a little bit forward focused yeah you're more on his feet than his face thiss just I'm waiting for you yes you are better you're still a little bit forward yeah yes you know you are better but still if you can push back you got coming thanks oh don't tell me don't you what e we need to see wei need to see toes but beauty did he's next oh like whole radio wait yeah good boy what you crying yeah I know no good good good what was it like watching them come up on the screen watching and carla it was adorable yeah I loved it I loved that he was so good too so good so mommy wanna come say hi bubba what good was that fun what was it like just to even what what was it like just to even um we're really doing this to even walk in this studio it was amazing like nothing we've ever done that's each of the big cities like tio tio we're going to clean between it was really need to see all the light I said yeah it's just a whole different atmosphere that we're used to you so it was really fun well, you did great little guy. Thank you, corliss. All right, well, thank you so so much for being a part of this o r I'm just letting us putting us not cornice part of it well thank yu yes oh, right ahead of you we've got some presents for you guys out there I forgot to mention when when I was in there yeah, but the girl so take care of that you call us if you've even got a big roll on the back of your neck you're doing the roles they were yeah, he sees it for later back there it's really nice to meet you but yeah take care my just dip six phoenix is here your grace she's really cute so we have three babies already three babies and it just it really does happen quickly it does and natalie said they're five minutes away with the next one. Okay. Okay, nice to kind of get them all through. One of the babies has been a little bit late so the girls will explain to um then what we're doing and everything you understand me going back in there that's going well, we want to let you know what people are few things people are saying I'm from the dogs are told natalie about that that that a satirical way have sg polo who says I just love the idea of having a team like this everyone works together so well and obviously we've seen how critical that is very, very important that it's very peaceful no fast around the babies you know, if you if there's too many people in their faces all the time they just it's only now show a little bit so upset why it's so quiet and you know it seems like nothing's happening but it'll really isthe range how did tell us again? How did you meet dawn? So don, who has created people are very much very impressed with the detail of what they've seen so far did you come to work together? Well, come up here don't come on you're going to tell a story weii when nearly phoned you oh, yes, I just finished I had a small child at the time eighteen months old and I had to work at night it's just when I had my studio in oakland. Yeah, I've three kids and one of them was any eighteen months I used to work at night and I just done an all nighter actually make a giant animal costume for, um a promotional thing for shop and um I done it for that three nights in a row and I was really tired and the phone rang about nine and danny just going to beijing on natalie, right? Guys? A little notice. Yeah, because my husband's, sort of like we do like shifts. So yeah, nearly rang out. This is all you know, this is nelly from ain't getti studio. We've got jobs like way wasn't really anybody been seen your fist calendar. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I hear you were just taking for baby so I saw no, no, because I just promised alex that that was it wasn't going he says, you can't do any more I'm going get yourself to have a break so I says I can't do any more so I asked the fact. No, no, no, I'm not taking any more work on at the moment and put the phone down and went back to sleep for an hour got up and I thought that was really putting probably quite stupid, really. I might ring them doing their foolish. So everything back in this that's how it all happened, and for the first two years or so don't be walking then maybe doing here she's coming to the into the studio with this cling on eighteen month old on her leg should be never said a word to natalie or I, for the whole time, just steered us like don't beat me, you know, like come on a place, you know? And then I've talked to doing in the car on the way home and you hear him yammering away in the back seat and like, is that what his voice sounds like? I just picked out from behind the one skirt just looked at us and he ended up being a known, you know, I mean, down in the gun, his funny he's the little guy is sitting on the branch with fishing pole. Yeah, uh, twenty three. Yeah, I was thinking of down in the garden we have a few minutes still until the next baby, but swing, you know, down in the garden, I just wantedto let everybody know that on the other day when you were here, we sat down, you and I sat down and went through your autobiography, the stories about you when you went there, a labor of love and which would have he says, twentieth anniversary nose here and we filmed essentially stories from a labor of love where it's essentially an oil history, right? Hearing you tell all these stories behind about the beginning of your career, but also about these particular images that are iconic, that people know and love and and how, you know, when I was shooting down on the garden, I had no idea that would become a successful, as it would alright, baby is coming down the hall, so I'm gonna continue to happen. But dad, all hands on deck quickly, we'll be become is, and that is going to be extra bonus material that for people, when they do, I know it was great to talk about the beginnings in my career. It was, well, okay, break.

Ratings and Reviews

I just read the other reviews and think people may not have watched the preview video or listened to Kenna's explanation of what was going to happen. I felt the class was exactly what was advertised, and thought Kenna did an excellent job keeping things moving when there were obvious delays or unexpected events with "the talent" (the babies). I felt like I was at Anne's studio and experiencing what actually happens when she is working on a project. You can't script babies and pets, so you go with the flow and adapt. I think that's what they said and did. Kenna was always prepared to discuss Anne's books, or other topics and did a great job getting personal/and professional with Anne-just as they said they were going to. It is Creative "Live" so it could have been Much less organized, and much more chaotic, but I was actually Very impressed with the production and smoothness of the Creative Live team. I did feel like my view was blocked at times when I wanted to see how they were setting up some of the actual shots- but in general I think they did just about as well as you could in those conditions. I am not paid by Creative Live nor do they probably even know me, but I'm very happy to support and actually buy their content-because I don't know another place/format that teaches so many different, practical, and interesting topics as they do and I Love that they take chances like this and really do Deliver. Anne was very clear that she is not a technician. Creative Live has Tons of Great Technician classes in So many genres of photography (and of course other area)- with Anne's class there is Plenty to Learn from her, but the value does not come in the Wam Bam machine gun delivery of latest tech and tools, it is in the methodical, patient, But Driven pace that is anything but chaotic (as one reviewer said). As I said at the beginning, I think they delivered exactly what was advertised and I am very happy with my purchase. There is a wealth of information and frankly entertainment, for someone who is interested in really seeing behind the doors... AND, it is good for new people and experienced people, who are looking to get better in their craft, more successful, or maybe even famous-if they are honest...to see that not every day in a studio (or in any profession really)-Even for Anne Geddes- is Glamourous, Exciting and "Sexy": sometimes it is crying babies that need their diapers changed.

I had the honor of supporting Anne in her launch of her beautiful line of baby clothing here in Washington ( as her fulfillment provider ) and her attention to every detail, their willingness to share their commitment to an unforgettable experience for every customer - it was such a pleasure to see the magic on the photography side of the business that I never had the opportunity to witness. Pure perfection, and thank you so much for sharing. Best to Anne and Kel! Michelle Harden

Watched the first day of this event and it was very different than other creative live workshops. Different is sometimes good and sometimes bad, this session was just that good and bad. It really lacked the teaching aspect, they did not go over her equipment, basic camera and lighting settings used to create the look she wants in her images etc...The lady who was interviewing her was terrible Anne seemed really open to share but the questions were very poor and lacked follow up and really diving into what Anne was doing. It was really neat to get to watch her work, she has an amazing personality that really is soft and kind and it showed in the way she worked with the parents, babies, and her team. It was a great overview of how she approaches the studio and a project and the detail that goes into making a top notch image. It is however weak on giving you the info strait up on how to improve your own work. If you want to see what it's like to work with a big team on a major project this is a great workshop. If you want technical teaching it is not so great.
