18. Create an Ad

Create an Ad

So we'll talk a little bit more about best practices for ads. Ad creation in a minute. But some best practices here are to always reference your client's style guide. When it comes to figuring out what what types of imagery would be most important to that brand or business. You also want to think a lot about your target audience as well and what their interests and their passions might be. It might also be smart to take a look at data from previous campaigns or previous posts. If you do find that folks are sparking to certain types of content better than others, then that might be something you might want to take a look at for utilizing in your campaigns. You'll have a choice here to either browse your library of existing content that you've already put on your, um, but you've already used in your, your campaigns or put on your accounts. You also can either um, import images directly from instagram and so what the system will show you as any recent photos that you've put onto instagram...

, you can repurpose into an ad for those clients that might be new businesses that might not already have a library of images of their own. There is the option of using stock images. Now, the thing about stock images is that they're often quite generic. They're not specific to the business, but one way that I've liked to use stock images is by using it to test various types of content. So if my client doesn't have a huge budget for a whole new photo shoot. And we're not sure if there going to prefer a lifestyle ad or product ad or in this case we see we see some stock photos of just beautiful hair shots which are here or there's another shot of styling tools. If we're unsure of exactly which direction to go in, I might actually create a couple of ads with various stock images to see exactly what types of pictures and content people tend to to respond better to because it's an absolutely free way to put content out there that's related to the business. Um, that's relatively risk free as well and you get some learnings from that after you select an image. So I'm going to select a stock image here or actually I just forgot we're doing a Fitbit ad. So you can actually search for pretty much any product in here. I've just put in Fitbit as you can see and they have some stock Fitbit images. Um, both product images and lifestyle images. So I will select my Fitbit image, confirm that you will see because it's a stock image that there is a watermark. But once you run that ad and you confirm that and make it live, the watermark will go away. And then the next step you'll take is just, you'll, you'll create a caption, you'll drive them to a specific web address and then you'll be able to confirm your ad and send it out there, we'll get into some best practices on this little bit a little bit later for visuals and for content. But that's essentially the five or six step process that you have to take an ads manager. It's actually, it's very simple.
