Introduction to Typography
So, typography has long been considered the foundation of communication design and as we learned earlier, communication design is built upon how we communicate words, ideas, and experiences, not just with each other, but also with institutions and systems. In our next video we're going to learn more about the basics of type because type matters whether or not you choose a certain type face or the order in which you put the letters, it changes the way people understand content. It's a bit like seeing I love mom in a children's drawing in crayon versus I love mom in biker tattoo. It completely changes the context and the feeling of the words. So we're going to go more deeply into that into the second video with Timothy Samara. Let's get started.
