He studied computer science and college and now runs a consulting company all guyer consulting where he helps small and medium and large size businesses all get the most out of their tech by so that they can actually really efficiently do the things that they need to do so it's wonderful to have you here exciting to talk about thi...
s so the question is who needs to know about I work on the go who is this going to help the most? Okay, so I work on the go is for people who want to break free of the confines of their cubicle in office and that's I think all of us good show no that's me right it's just it's great to be able to get out and get things going to be productive on the go and that is going to teach us how to do yes said to hear kevin taking away thank you russ I appreciate it so one thing that I want to talk about just kind of lead into the discussion we're gonna have for this particular part of the class is that right now we're going to be talking about I work on the go but specifically I cloud so icloud is a suite of services that apple provides to us the consumers the way that I look at it icloud in relation to their other products on services that they offer is in terms of a building structure I look at a building has different materials that they used to be built you know if you think of a of an old house maybe that's built of of bricks and mortar I think of the bricks as being a hardware that apple and other hardware manufacturers make and sell I think of the online cloud based services like icloud as being the mortar so you'd imagine a house without that mortar it's going to kind of fall apart it's not going to be a strong as it as it could be with with the mortar in place with sinking services with cloud based services it really allows you to tile of your devices together and also really take advantage of that sinking capability back and forth and enables you, as I mentioned, arrest, to be able to leave that office on and not necessarily leave all the work behind all those sometimes that's really nice to d'oh. But for those who need to get work done on the go, it allows you to go on the road, two hotels traveling and still be productive and get things done. So in this part of the class, specifically will be covering, covering a couple of things. One, we will learn how we could be freed from the confines of our cubicle in office, as we mentioned before in ways that we never thought were possible before and also as business owners, I want to make sure that you understand what is available to help empower and enable your users, too, to do productive things on the go, not just require them to be in the office, but but almost allow them and enable them to be productive under any circumstance, anywhere. And so I'll go through there's a couple of stories that aiken aiken that I can work through with you on examples of how this is hugely helped my productivity on the go so first, things first let's talk about I cloud and the things we're going to be talking today in these lessons. First, we will talk about what icloud is we'll talk about high cloud features we will talk about, I work for icloud and will actually go through some demos on that, and that will help you to understand that better, and we will talk about how to share documents in the cloud with others as well as yourself. So with that let's talk about what icloud is as mentioned before, the way that I like to think of icloud is the mortar that holds the bricks of a home in place. This is actually come coming from apple's own website on how they describe I work so you can read through that, but essentially, it says, the icloud connects you and your apple devices in amazing ways to ally to get things done. And not only is this great for I work, but it's also great for photo sinking and calendar, sinking and sharing contact, sinking email, things like that. Um, one thing I would mention with this is that not only is the easy to use, but it also it's also intuitive, and it really kind of allows you to be enabled on to go.
