Now let's talk about creating a facebook marketing plan because gone are the days where you could just post a thing on facebook maybe for a promo that you have going on and that all of a sudden use start seeing sales coming you have to get a little more strategic about it and actually planet out have a plan of action so that way you could get the most out of your facebook time let's talk about the life cycle of a hopefully a customer especially when you're getting a customer through facebook so the first step is that they are a facebook user, right? We're all our facebook users the second step is that you want them to become your facebook page fan the third step is that you want to take them from a fan two one email subscriber and we talked about your opt in and growing gear list yesterday. ustomers and facebook is really a perfect platform to do that, but before you started doing any of that there are a couple of things you are going to need to have in place before you do your facebook marketing plan in the first one is a great website so yesterday we talked all about how you can have a really awesome website, why you need it, and if you do any sort of facebook marketing, this is going to be even more important. You're also going to need an email marketing service provider. I know all of you here probably already have that in place. If not, there are some really great free ones, like male chimp and a couple of other ones that you can get set up super easy to do, you don't really need any technical knowledge or anything like that, but you are going to need a kn email provider, so that way you can start collecting e mails directly from facebook because I think it's a lot easier to get a facebook fan to become an email subscriber than it is to get them right away, to become a customer of yours. So I want you to think about all of the four different stages, because I know a lot of times we think, ok, I'm going to post something and someone's going to pay for it because they've come for my post, but if you shift your thinking a little bit and think about it from, I'm going to post something, they're going to subscribe to my email newsletter, and then I'll be developing a relationship over a few months or maybe longer, maybe less, and then they will become a paying customer, so there is sort of a life cycle that you have to think about it's not the thing where you post something on yes, sometimes you will post a big sale or something that you just launched on a few people will buy, which is great, but that's not usually what's going to happen, and you're also going to need an optimized facebook page, and we're going to talk about how to optimize your profile in the next session, but you do want to get the most out of it with a really great looking facebook page. So let's, talk about the four steps to your facebook marketing plan. The first one is to set your goals, and we're going toe talk a little bit about what kind of goals you can have on facebook, but you have to know what you're going for and what your plan is before you can actually get there. So instead of just logging into your facebook page, posting something that's not really a plan, right, you don't really have a goal. Well, maybe your goal might be just to post something on facebook as you have to post two times a day, but that sort of doesn't really work as effective, ugly as if you had a really goal in mind. You're also going to need to do your research and we're going to talk about it more details what I mean by that, but you have to do a little bit of research into who are your current facebook fans? What are their demographics? When are they online? When are they looking and interacting with your facebook post? You're also going to have to create your content and your ads because it's not just all about going up online and faith put putting up something that just comes to you really do have to be a little bit strategic about it. And lastly, you have to measure your effort and this is very, very important because if you don't know what's working, if you don't know how effective your facebook marketing is, you're really not going to know how to change things around to make them even more effective, so that your time on facebook is actually paying off, so those are four steps super easy, right? I think I just want everyone to know that facebook marketing doesn't have to be hard it really if you're strategic about it, if you have a plan, if you have goals and if you plan ahead a little bit, you too can get a lot of great results with facebook.
