How to use ProSelect for Sales

Prez elect is a really fun program. It is also growing. There's so many things you can do with this program. So I will start by saying that I just recently uploaded their latest version because I wanted to be working with the latest version on creative life. So I'm still learning my way around it a little bit. The buttons or dials are a little bit different, so I apologize for that. But they're always updating and upgrading it, making it integrate with likely it integrates with shoe que it integrates with an emoto. You could do so many things, or you could just do the minimum and the cause. I'm not trying to make a commercial, but the cost of this is worth your first session because it's so easy to show clients. So I'm gonna talk through first how I use it with clients, and then if we have time or after lunch, maybe I can show some of the vacuum like how you could set things up. So the first thing I do we have our ordering session is actually a big cookies because I like cookies. But t...

hen also it makes the studio smell like cookies. Okay, so we think about the senses. I have a candle, that a light. I always have wine or our water than I have the cookies out. And we have a chalkboard that says Welcome. And so he would be like, Welcome Hillary and Scott, not the Children, because we know we're not coming to the oh, so I'm already when they come in and usually I'll have this, like my favorite image up. So they walk in and they're like, Oh, wow, and it's big. It's on. I projected onto a screen. It's a large picture. It's like this immediate impact, and they also see their name on the chalkboard, and they're like, Oh, yea, and we tug and say, How are you so excited to tell you your pictures? And then I will go right into the side show immediately so they can get excited about those. So that slide show that you saw a while ago is a slight. Told that I would show them, I knew that they wanted an album, and so I had an album pre designed, which is something that pick Taj offers its the lab that we work with, and it's more than a lab. It's really a whole workflow system in one of the things I think that makes it worth it for us. Is that their album design? It's free. There's no reason not to make an album, and the design program itself is just so easy to you. So last night I just whipped up a couple of things has just in terms of time crunch. But they're they're designers are really talented. But if you want to make tweaks yourself afterwards, it's couldn't be easier. And you could do it from anywhere from your hotel them. So So what? I dio one of the things that need about the slide show itself is that you can if they're watching you, tell them. OK, when you're watching this side job, there's any particular image that just calls out to you Go. I love that picture. We can pause on that picture by hitting the space bar, or you can hit the down arrow and it'll automatically put it into this little smiley face section. So I talked about those sections before the smiley face, the medium face, I guess, and the frowny face that what I'm doing now is having my client edit down the final images. So I know which ones I'm working with for their collection for what we're buying them. And the way I tell them this is I say, look, and this was really hard for me to do the edit. And that's always the truth. Because I fall in love with pictures too. And I say, But now I want you to go through and pick the ones that you like, and we're gonna think about what it is you want to do with these images as we picked them. So, for example, if I know I'm making an album for you and they've already seen a sample album, then we're gonna choose with that in mind. Or if I know that you want one big while portrait, we're gonna choose with that in mind. So we're gonna go through and as you see those pictures will put him in the yes pile. So then we go through Am I going to say yeah and breathe? I just love this album before so But you're showing them with slideshow first and then well, like a stamp album. Sometimes I change it up in this case, I kind of like the flow that they see the pictures individually. And then it goes right into showing how they could look at the story because I knew that they wanted an album. Sometimes I'll show them that later, or I'll click through the album and say, Let's look at that album again and they can I'll sail You know, Let's look at that home again. Here it is. And the thing about it that's fun is we can put text on there and they can see like, Oh, this is really need you here. We're showcasing all the kids and here we have Maggie here we have Maddox and jewels. I love the way she designs to We have. We have designers that pictures that you can actually teach them, not teach them. But you give them notes on what you like, and you end up getting your own designer. But, um so they are very similar to jewel style because she's the one that gave them all the notes. But she said, the designer itself is really easy to use. So she just with this one up online last night herself. And I love how I went in, and usually the family albums are about 40 images or so, so I don't think we did a full on here. Is that through pro selected things The way that I'm showing the album? I'm just sort of Jimmy reading it for the class to do. Like import E just imported them as J. Pegs I took screen captures and imported that Miss J Pegs just for the class often did. So bad so, But also, what I'll do is actually show them the album online, and I'll just go through it. There's there's two ways you can see the album online through pick Torsion can show them so we can just girl right there when the designs on. So anyway, okay, where am I? So we're showing that we're making our choices now They're going through and they're picking. As we go through the images, I'll do like this. We'll go through and I can just hit the little arrow keys to scroll through. Well, here have shown them a different sizes, and they say, Oh, yeah, I like this one and I can hit 12 or three. That court relates to the little smiley faces, and then that's gonna put them in the different categories. And what you're doing there is it's helping you later, when you're you know which pictures you're working with. And I also have to tell them you're not hurting my feelings that you say no for a picture. It doesn't mean that I know it doesn't mean you don't like it. It just we can't use every single one. We just need to pick the ones we're gonna use. So don't worry about hurting my feelings. Please, just pick the ones that are, you know, call out to you. And then again, I will go through that hole education process like this is a really good one for this reason. And, you know, if they're trying to pick what they always ask me, what do you think this one or this one? And I'm like, Definitely that one. Okay, You know, 99% of time, they will pick that one. So the next thing that I do once we have them all chosen is that I actually walked them around the studio because people by what they see and they bring them back to the consultation and I'll say, Remember that collection that you really love? That you said that you wanted the family pack. So here it is. Up here. This is what it looks like, You know? Let's revisit that. Or maybe have you changed your mind? Thought about anything else. Here is a new product picked out. Just came out with acrylics, like in wheat. Here's a new occurred like it's really beautiful. What? You know, this might look cool on your wall. I was thinking about it. So we will come around the studio and they can sort of think about it again. And then she's doing this because she means in a tactile away, because they're seeing the actual product. That's code for E. Oh, thank you. 22, to do you want me to mention that they should get the resource manual seriously. So helpful. Well, im are leaving at that place, So, um Okay. So what I want to do is I What I've done is I go through and I put collections together for them. I'm gonna pretend that we talked about a name steak and that she wanted to get a namesake, which is still 20 letter, but it was really cool about Pro Select is that you can put your own templates in here. This is one that Jules designed, and then she made it pro select happy so that you can actually like. This is my vision of it. But say she I wanted something different in the middle so you can take it and swap it out. It always entails making it personal. Carter order. That's why get to duplicate it because you include the print in order. I was telling her what it was. What did you ask? But I was curious. How do you make it sound like happy that that's another whole process, that we're not going to talk about it? We'll have to You have to do in photo shop, and then you make each of the circles into a little clips. And then when you imported into poor select and do what joy is doing where you drop them in, you know what we should do? Joyce, you have a link. We can put that online so people want to know how to make the templates. We can look that up because there's some very specific instructions I couldn't tell you. I'm always like what? Know what again? And half the time I get it wrong. So it's But this is really fun because what I can do is I can show them right here what it's gonna look like we can we can like I should. Here we can come closer. We can go farther away and pro select also has the ability to, um, make these as high resolution files. So I don't even have to redo this. It's gonna already crop it the way that I wanted crop the way that they've seen in the ordering session. It's it's interesting here is that you took a a vertical picture and put it into a horizontal air. Sometimes it doesn't square, but it's square. What would you? Can you make those, like interactive templates, work with other programs like work with other slideshow on display programs? I don't know. I know. I know that there are templates you can buy that you can put into Photoshopped night that little bit templates that are I'm saying, like like when you create your own like I'm I'm just wondering if you could use it in different interfaces. You know, I mean I don't like. Could you use it in photo shop? No, Like I'm trying to think of like like image quicks or I don't know any other software that is quite like Rosalynn. So, for example, this is I really love Libyan. Jeff and Alison Rogers were graphic designers. You were graphic design, right? And they really love the designing Christmas cards and make your holiday cards and making them really personal for every client. And they also offer some out to photographers who were not graphic designers. And I love this one for another. And so but the thing about it is that, you know, in my pre consultation, I knew that they wanted a Christmas card, and again I will offer them two kinds of Christmas cards and that is it. And again, we can do this. We can flop Philistines not gonna work. But you can change the pictures, which I love, how you can do that and then it over so they can see what I want this after they've gone through the ones that they like, You could say, OK, Mama, we're talking about the holiday card right now, so let's go with the ones we like and which ones were going to use for the holiday card so we can build it right there? Phil, what I'm doing is I'm selling well. And here's the second quality card. They're not the Franks family, but so that's everything. This is also, I believe, a little card. And you have You can change the template yourself, too, if you like. So, um, ultimately, after I want to show you. Okay. What time? No, Um, And again, I'm this new program. I'm a little bit. Okay. Uh, the other thing is, we were talking about collections, Kate, for example. This is a collection like a family pat, and they want to say, Well, it's his house is gonna look on my wall. So what you can do is you can so you can actually have an email. You a picture of their wall in their house. So say that this was her house, right? And I go, Okay, why don't we take a picture of this? Well, she said the babys are older now. I want to replace it with one of those cool canvas straps collections that you have. So we take a picture of this and I can put it into press select. There's a way to do that where you say, set up rooms, you set up your rooms, you had to make that sound. You have to make that sound. Here it is. This is the look the pictures Photoshopped about. And that's where we are right here. And see this little cute ruler. You're gonna tell the computer how big this room. It's with your ruler. You like that. And I believe we measured this before. It says here 33.7 inches. Something around that trying. Not exactly that. What is this screen 50 by? I don't know. Craig measured it for me the other day. Anyway, you're telling the computer the size and then you can add it, and now you can use it. This and there it is. And you can show them right there on the screen What it looks like. Hard to tell if that's actually that space because it will looks a different color. But it is. Here's another thing. When you build a template and I can show you that two, you're gonna pick one image. That's the main image. So in this case, it's this square image right here. So down at the bottom, you can see it says that the main images 20 by 20. So you could give him a kind of an idea to say this is a 20 by 20 size. Here, these are gonna be 10 tens, and what I often will do is actually have a physical canvas, and I'll hold it up like this is a 10 by 10. To this is what it's gonna look like. And there is also another way to project in riel size on the wall. I'll show you that, too, in a collection. This is really the only way to do that. And so they You know what? It's kind of getting door there. I wonder a little bit bigger so you could make it a little bit bigger. *** will matter where 24 by 24. And I think that you really don't want to go much bigger than that on this wall. But it would really make a nice impact. Shows just 30. But I think or you say, you know what? I don't want to be that big. I'm gonna get a little or collection. So we're gonna go 16. 16. We're just going to sort of put it here. Make that a look better like that. So it's fun. It's a fun way to play with this Teoh, um, to show them what it's gonna look like. And again, Doll was back to buying what they seen. If they can visualize it, they can. They're happier. The cars are the templates, ones that you built out of what you offer in your studio. Are they one? So you have some of those air, the air, that one that I offer out of my studio. But you can also buy templates. I'll show you that, too. Why would we have to tell me? Um So, for example, if we're going to go back to layouts, you see right here and these are all the templates that I built with people, so here is like a nine up this'll one. I think you saw this on earlier. We had the nine up so I could feel like this, and I can build a nine up for them, even just right there. What happening today? It's, um because it's a new program. Anyway, you should be able to slot it right in there, and it shows you what it looks like. So but the that's because you were in the layout, smooth in that mode with a little Grammy. What mood? But here's the rooms mode, which is a new thing where you can pre design a room for them like that and you can add, actually add pictures to it and move pictures out. You can move around. I think that's pretty cool. So you swap faces in that money. You could top faces, but it's a little more difficult because it's an actual image here. They're saying, Well, do you want to change this one if you want to change? So I wanted to show you, um, templates. So now I'm wondering how to get back to the templates, but right here, if there's the whole bunch of you can put them in different groups, different collections, and I'd like to start with my cluster collections. Of those. One of our more popular products are the canvas straps and some here you can see down at the bottom. I have all the different collections, like this one we call the puzzle. I have this puzzle both horizontally and vertically, so that the client can imagine those in those ways. Here's our little cuties here. And then I also have them as individuals so I can build them. I want to, but you can also purchase collections. Like, for example, I'll show you this one inspire collection by, um, signed a glow if you wanted to. And you can slot pictures in there now. No, no, that's because on the left hand side you're dragging a layout instead of an image. So if you go to the smiley face, no can't trying to get Thank you, Michael, make you help me. So a bunch of, you know, personally Well, so feel free to jump in now. It has this guy here on this side. You can see. Don't pull those from there. Go back to the smiley faces. Okay, Hold on. I'm sorry, everybody not here. And then you go back to image. No. See, your smiling faces don't from You weren't pulling pictures. Got Thank you, Michael. And this is new. This is a new feature. And again, I love the fact that they're always changing, but we're gonna talk about change management later. Why on white you'll still uses bridge. Enjoy a place, time upgrading, president, because I get used to the way that it is. And I'm like, I don't want to change it. But then, of course, inevitably the changes are good. So anyway, that's so now I should work so you can put him in there, and then you can show your client what it's gonna look like, and this is, you know, over the couch, and you've been moved them around. So it's kind of fun the way to do that. So there's a lot of templates out there that are pro select happy already that you don't have to build yourself that you can purchase, and then you can also build your own. So if you're gonna build your own template, you can go here to edit templates, and you have to make that public. So I'm gonna go back to my clusters here, and you couldn't either at it one that you already have. Or you could do a new one. And I like that one that ever have good can't seem to get to the bottom. So and then here is where you can tell it like, here's the image number one. So that's the image that the computer is gonna say that when it changes the size, it'll helpfully so. And I'm killing that. This one right here is a 30 40 down here. I'm telling it, the wind tonight, This is how you create your own template. Yeah, this is how I create my own template. So when you were asking if that's your family practices, how she did that and also on the side here, if you want to show it at the wall grouping so that you can show it without the back ground so that when I had showed it on the wall there you want it, just click that it's a well grouping. If it's a fixed size kind of thing, like our namesakes, you can't get it in a bigger size. It's 10 by 30. That's it. I can click fixed size so it won't change. The sides and pro select composite type has to do with books and layouts and that kind of thing, so but there's a lot of fun things you can also, when you hit, say, here overlay image. I don't see if I can show one of my cards. So here we have custom cards that we know no change. Here's a card that we have that we designed and you could put the pictures in here, and what it does is you click overly image and it's gonna ask you where is that you want you to find it goes, Tell me which aims to use. And these are the one that we were talking about that you make proceed like friendly, and you can put him in there. And but I'm not gonna do that right now because it takes a little while to render. So hopefully just messed that all up. I might have to close it now because I can't get to the bottom. Just hit return me. And one of the meetings in the newer versions is if you're guilty, person you can actually have those cards, has tilted, uh, openings. And you couldn't do that before you change things. So if you get templates that have tilted, it's the work with I want to show you a few other things about press selected where we go to lunch and I'm gonna have my little notes here because There's so many things you could do with Pro Select. But in the beginning, what you want to do when you first setting it up If you want to go to your preferences here Oh, actually, in the very, very beginning, what you want to do is go to help and you want to go to the open reference manual. It is awesome. Reference manual is that Show it that, um, you can go right here and you can look at anything you want toe work on. Like if you wanted to do those rooms and learn about how to do it, you can just click on it. It'll go right to the section about how to do that. So, um, I don't know. For some reason, I e hesitates. Sometimes reading manuals, a lot of people, you figure it out. It is a really easy program, but it just grief it and it's so they're just so user friendly. So anyway, there's that. So we want to go to Preferences here, and the first thing you're going to do is you're gonna go to your display and you see how there's this line here. This boy calibration right there if I wanted to show this in real time on this screen, like one image and show the size of that. What you mean? What I could do is take a ruler unimaginable length of that lying right there. And I'll tell the computer this line, What do you think? Like 18 inches long or so? So I could put in here that it's just and that tells the computer on this monitor or about, you know, wherever my projector is. If I go to somebody's home, I can tell the computer right then. It's pretty simple that that is the length until it can show me real time size of someone wants. I want a big one like an eight by 10. You could put a re elei by 10 and you can see how tiny it ISS give them really like Oh, and then, Joy, you could say, Well, what about 60 by 24? And sometimes, even though they're tiny, you know, images over there are 28 by 22 I think it's pretty, you know, finally getting to a nice size when you're talking about a wall. So also down here, if you want to show what side it starts in a little. You can choose whatever size you want to start it in 16. 24 then you can go up in town. I'll show you that theater thing is Remember when I showed you about that you could show them a new image in CPS were black and white. You have a lot of choices about that and what you want it to look like. So you can take this and adjust it yourself if you want it more punchy, less punchy. However you want that toe look or the strength of the sepia tint you're gonna do See Pia. So that's neat. And then that was across the board, to every image that you changed. You changed here. I want to show. So sometimes I like to give her pre done black and white because I I don't know that, you know, the presets might not work for every image, but it is great to do it right. And then also I don't have a big vignette person, but you can do been getting on yours. Show the strength of use birth black. So this is how the image other than you look when you when you change, do that. So, anyway, I'm gonna cancel that. And then the slide show itself. A lot of people use different programs for slide shows, but here you can decide. We know if you want the image full screen, how fast you wanted to go, how you want it to dissolve. And then I like this. Begin with this image, and with this image, I'll put in, like, that placeholder image you saw that was Jules Bianchi photography that Nigel began and ended with that. And you just put freeload that into the program and tell you that's always been a show on every slide show. And then, um, as far as the music going Oh, I just like you mentioned When you sit the kinds down, you say that, um, you know the slide show? If the one really grabs you, we can. That's during the sides of bacon. You can hit the button are what have you for them? Does that positive light show in any way? Not so it doesn't stop the emotional flow. If you want todo that image, you can hit the space bar and it will stop stop the music. So it's a little bit disconcerting because you feel like you're not caused that you are, cause cause. But then you can just read, you know, hit the down button for them to mark their favorites is as a side should go, So it doesn't keep that emotional thing going to be a really good point. And does this work with any lab that can you? Can you hook this up with any with any lab you have with the thing that's great about this is that it does integrate with shoot you, which integrates a president, which I would show you anything but with you. But it also you can make it out, put a high rez file that then it will save it wherever you want to save it with whatever name you want to save it. So, like, here for hi res production right here. High risk production. You could tell it everything. Like how much do you want the resolute resolution to be? And if you're gonna go high, you're gonna print that image. It'll do it in 300. But But if you can't, can you automate it to send your lab look and you submit orders that you can think well just by doing it the way you're just talking about. You can integrate it to shoot Q and then shoot Cuba let you integrate to pick time so you can semi automated. So so. But pick Taj is the only lab that it works with because I see with different loves a Sfar integration. I only know here's a screen capture of, um, what of integrations with thank you. And they have here pro select Red cart, Facebook and Twitter integrate to your own website and then pick Taj. So but I know that they're always growing and mad may be, which is awesome, too. Uh, so as far as I know that, that shoot Q and integration this issue queue, which also integrates with Pick Taj and this thing because about shook you is it's sort of like the front and workflow where you're tracking your clients and your sending them the orders by the reason she's much because select goes to shoot cue so that you can track before you also, you just really quickly because I was so excited about this and it's new for me. But I think it's been doing a little while. So here you go. Review your proofing order. Right? So we went through and I had ordered it on process like and then you export that order. You send it into shoe Q. And it makes this whole little thing with a little thumbnail in the pictures, like White House and they Then they create in order for you and they created invoice and you can send it right out of your client. So that's pretty cool. The other thing about it that it does is it creates a workflow for you, and you are in charge of what you work for will look like. But if you look at this little button right here, pretty cool that you can order it directly from pick Taj right here in the way you set it up between Pro Select and Shoot Q and pick Taj. And this is the thing where it takes a little bit of work to set it all up with your prices and your products and what those things are. But once it's set up, it will make your workflow so much simpler, and I think that that's part of the problem, and I want to talk about that after lunch with change management because often times myself included, I won't go to the trouble to do that because I'm just too busy. And so then I keep doing it the old workflow way, which is not nearly as seamless as this way. And I just took the time to toe do it. So that's part of the issues of change management. So they took the time. Just with the thing that's cool about this is that if you go, it knows that it's a canvas wrap. It knows that its 16 by then it will go right to the canvas purchasing section of Pick Taj and you Can Order it said, even knows the middle sounds, too. The way it knows that event that it is not picked on. It knows that you should find innovative other labs because it probably does just we don't know because we have done in the lab and the integration or is it from per select? And I was doing me and I think they work together, Yeah, do they have that they form a partnership? You have a partnership. This is wanted to show you because I think I won't have time to show you. But if you don't have shipped you and you don't use picked, you can do a whole ordering thing through Pro Select, and they will create their own invoice as well. So this is an example of an invoice that that pro select itself created, and you can set it up to put your own logo on the top. It'll show the little thumbnail, and I put here a little like order for Grandma. You can have two different orders at the same time. So if you if you know you courage them to bring Grandma Long and Grandma wants to buy some images, she can have her own order. And then you know Hillary has her own order. Here's Hillary's order and like that, and then you can have that output to the high resolution file. It'll create all of those things. And then you consented to whatever lab you want that point. But the work has been done, or sometimes, like if you were saying how much extra work to do. If there are some wrinkles, we want to soften or anything I can work up. The actual high res filed has been cropped the way that they wanted to. That Enjoyable descended to me directly after her pro select session. And they're already ready. So are there, like, any fees that pick Taj selects? Like when you, you know, like commission or like that Shoot, shoot, shoot, Does it shoot? Thank you. Shoot. Cute collects. When we're submit orders, it's there, all subscription based. So I know pick tajin que. But I think if you haven't built together, it's a bundle. And then every purchase that you make, you have a yours, your price. So, like the wholesale price that you're buying from pick touch and then would ever market whatever you choose for your client. And there's there's two ways that you could do that. Once the images are online, your client can actually go and buy images through pick Taj if you choose whatever products they have, and you decide what the price of the product will be. So if you want to raise it up, you know, 50% 100% 100% you could do that or what we like to do with the internal projection sales is way kind of a little more limited on our product selection for our portrait clients through Pick Taj, but in the week, because I like to do it and hold their hand a little bit more, she's saying, rather than just putting them all online, letting them go there and pick, she won't automatically put portrait sessions online and people will come in and it'll be a little more handheld. And then and I'll sell my more upscale upscale about the right word, but that the upper end product and the personal elections and the things that they don't sell on pictures because I their personal to me that custom designed. But the thing that need about it, in terms of even more post sales is one state hit a certain price point. I'll put those online for them and say, You know, you can print whatever you will. I never sell Prince during my ordering session. If they want to buy a print like a five by seven else, I know we're not buying those today. Those aerbin when they go online, you can buy any princess you want work with that lab. They're great and then often times it'll actually even be an up sell later, because pick Taj does offer different products.
