Well, yesterday was a ton of fun. We'll be talking about that and looking at some photos. So we're gonna do about five minutes of pre show banter. Let us know in the chat room if you can see us and hear us and let us know where you're joining us from today. Um, yeah. Thanks, everyone. Thank you. Thank you. Today is my 21st birthday. So we will be going Teoh a bar for the first time today. And there is a hash tag hashtag happy, but they cannot. So, way out. Especially greetings to Canada. Thank you, Natalia. Thank you very much. Everyone, Um it's fun to be here with my with my worldwide family, so thank you. Um Okay. Uh, anyhow, sorry way are going to talk about First we're gonna talk abou...

t freedom lies Facebook page, and we would love to have you guys as a little special guests on pretty Lives. Facebook page. If you haven't been there, give us a like we know there's more than I mean, we love that we have a ton of likes, but we know that there's so many more of you out there that are part of the Creative life family. So give us alike and submit a photo post a photo of yourself watching great of live in your own virtual classroom. So whether that's in your living room outside today, we're featuring Independent in Japan, somebody who is watching from the beach. Um and so anyhow, give us post your photo and we'll be featuring a different folks from our creativelive classroom. And we would love to see you there. Oops, I'm not doing that yet, but I go back all right, so I wanted to go through the audience this morning. We have a few minutes and talk a little bit about yesterday's marketing discussion and just what your Oh, no, we're gonna do that later. I'm a little flustered. I I know what I was going to talk about was the fact that we have video submissions or do this Monday for Skip Cohen, who is coming in early June June 8th and ninth to teach a workshop on marketing for photographers and talk about knowing marketing. Skip hasn't been in the industry, the photography industry for 30 something years. He runs Skip Summer School. And so I was chatting earlier with some folks here, and I would love to hear a little bit about Skip Summer School and why you guys think that, um, people should submit a video to come and be in creative lives audience. So we're gonna start over here, Michael, you want to skip summer school in August last year, and it was a really awesome experience, and one of the things that I really took away from that was skips. Did a bit of, ah, platform discussion about your Web presence in your marketing tools and just how important it is to make sure that your website is open for business. He talked at length about the fact If you have a storefront, you unlock the door every morning. You make sure that the displaced look good and is how important to do that with your own website in your block, go to your website every day and make sure that it actually opened and that your links actually worked. And it was just a really fabulous discussion. And I just can't imagine how amazing three whole days was Skip talking about two days. 02 days, two days was skip talking about marketing just how good that would be. So and he will be with Yeah, And your you and your wife are gonna be submitting, right? We're gonna submit another video because my wife Jen, was devastated that she didn't get to come to this workshop and is going to be putting together one tomorrow when we get back, submitting it tomorrow night with a commercial like that, Very cool. And so maybe we could take it back around the circle and just talk about your experience being here. Creativelive is a student. We love to encourage people to kind of put themselves out there. Can you tell me a little bit about what that was like for you? And then what it's like being here, Um, for me, I I love being here, just saying I know you guys have worked so hard, but I am having so much fun and this is the best. And submitting a video for me actually was. It's funny consents. I've started watching creativelive and I have seen the different people coming through the whole happy fun to be on. But I don't have a Twitter account. I'm not gonna do that. And so this is my first tweet. It was video that why I did it. Kristen's promised to give me a Twitter list because I this is all new to me. So I think you guys for being the reason. Yeah, Exactly. Yeah, Exactly. So anyway, um, it's very fun to be here. Um, it is a whole lot of fun and thank you guys for taking us and it's in the swag. Yesterday was amazing. Um, and I guess I just saved Just do it. Um, quick, I just did it super quick. I said, Here's my IPhone. You know, my husband just hold it. I'll just say something quick and actually uploaded it and did it all like on the IPhone and did it all. And I was like, Okay, it's done. Okay. Now, just so it's pretty painless. If you do it quick like a Band Aid, I actually did it 20 e. I don't know if you guys know that, but I submitted a video that that we'll just to touch on yesterday's session. First, I was just, like, overwhelmed with information in a really good way. Um, just it's prompting me to think more creatively about the marketing aspect of my business, which I that's something that I needed to do is just kind of fallen into a Rhett. And I needed some new inspiration. So for that, I'm very grateful for you guys for selecting me. But anyway, back to video, I submitted a video that I made, like in the dead of winter, because I was really bored. Um, and my kids were, you know, running around like little crazy people, and, um and they loved it immediately. But then I was told to do it again. So I did another submission, and after my second submission, they you guys chose me. And here I am. And that was that was me. I thought that that was just I think that, um, your video was not addressing specifically about why you wanted to meet the contrary. Absolutely. No, that was You know what? We're looking for people talking about. It was a great tip. I go in, I go in with charm and then I and then I meet criteria later. You hear about people? Come here. Yeah, absolutely. Doing that twice. Yes, I was. It was Yeah. Yeah, I waas um I just decided to do it. I have my friend. said So you're just going You just decided you make the city or not? You're just going. You just made it happen. Like I guess. But no, it's been It's been really fantastic. It was really, really scary. And I've been kind of freaking out the whole time for, like, the past month. But, you know, I'm making it through eating, you know, e I just had to stay here. Yeah, it's been really awesome. And you guys are awesome. Everybody here is so cool and comforting and night, so it just makes it that much easier. You guys? Yeah. Yeah, because in Maine even haven't satellite sat Seattle in your tip. My kids watched all of the videos. Help me choose, and your tip was to tell Go and tell your kids to clean their rooms and I get Don't pick her no way ever clean. I know the feeling. I e find stuff. And, uh, every time I get a creative life email, I tell me why I look at this workshop is coming up with this workshop is coming, she says. Put in a video is just No, no, no, no, Never, never think me. And then I saw a joy and jewels come up That would be really cool. That's the next step that we're really struggling with is our marketing. And I said, I'm not going to do it And it floated up into my in box just before the deadline, and I just It isn't Let's do it. Turn on the Webcam. Well, after 60 seconds hit, Stop uploaded it for a chance to think about anything. And I say, Why is it so hard? It was pretty easy. And here I am, it's awesome, and I have got so much more out of the live workshop than you get even on the Internet broadcast. It's amazing to be here. It's really fabulous. Just do it like you're worried ago they'll never picked me. They'll say No, but if you don't submit, you definitely not pick you you can't can't win if you don't play. Yeah, Jules, notice the little dog in the corner. Of course there's a dog video he's one might have a way of quoting my mom is a quote, their first pretty awesome because Saturday morning at a.m. I'm making waffles, you know? And I'm trying to watch. Sorry, but I'm trying to watch creative life and I've got my monkeys, you know, I've got to take care of them and, you know, So I missed things and and being here now, I mean, I'm able to just sit back, Absorb. It's pretty awesome. Who's making You should have you feel alone. I'm by myself. My husband's mata. He does. Some of the business stuff kind of helps, but he's not really a whole partner like some basically by myself. And you're like, Oh, mom by myself. And I got nothing in my brain on, so to have a discussion to be here with people and exchange of ideas and yeah, it really does refresh you. It's something that you really have to seek out and do this for, like that. You brought that up. E think that was a big problem for me when I first started with, I spent hours alone in front of a computer and, you know, Mr on all kinds of social things. And I don't think at that time I was even aware how the community existed. It was not the same of it is now website. When I was huge in the area, that was 2001. But I think as soon as I discovered with networking and going to WPP, I getting involved in things like this. Things completely changed for me, and I was when you did feel a kinship and you felt like that well and I think sometimes been, um, our industry. A lot of times, it's just you. It's a small, your small business. And if you're not working with your spouse and has is just you and say I want to talk about that a little bit about how you can get support and how you can make your business more than just you and and I think that joining together as a group of photographers just helps raise the tide for everybody. Not so. That's one of things I really like about creative. Live, too, is that it does that the whole sharing and today I'm hoping, is a lot of sharing. And all of you, whoever has questions out there in Internet land when your questions in because we wanna have a discussion about what works for you, what doesn't work, and it's different for everybody. And I think if you can share those, you just take little pieces and go that would work for Were that doesn't work for means Make it your own. So awesome. Thank you, everyone. And that, I mean, that really is. It's the beauty of the worldwide classroom. And in fact, we have picked pumping. Who says Who was asking if people are from other countries are allowed to submit videos and absolutely, yes, we have had people from Canada. We've had a t y for See Bryce came from Nigeria. We tied folks from Dubai and London, France, so we definitely welcome folks to submit videos from anywhere around the world. All right, Speaking of around the world, we're getting busted. Greetings for Ken out from around the world, says Pani Says Good morning from Sydney, Australia, and Happy Birthday on gay, Lev says Happy best day. But It doesn't say what from, Um Mag Newsome, Decatur, Alabama. Happy Best day. So people joining us. All right, let's get to what we're here for today.
