How To Grow Your Community

So you've opened your community, you have new members, you've written your rules, you have content ready. How do you grow it and monetize it, and that's exactly what we're going to do in this chapter. There's multiple ways to grow your community and add new members without spending money on facebook ads, depending whether you're starting a new group already have one and want to continue growing and scaling your community. I usually try to split groups into three stages. The first stage is for those groups started just getting started, you just open your group, your brand new. You have a very small number of members. What are some of the things that you can do to grow it? What I usually recommend is leverage your connections and what I mean by this is start inviting friends, people that, you know, who fit your audience. Remember your group is not for everyone, invite friends, invite coworkers, people that, you know, just make sure that they're the right audience. It's better to have qua...

lity over quantity. At first you're better off starting a community with the right target audience as members. Then a lot of people who are just not going to connect with the topics, the content and everything that you're publishing on the group. What are the things that you can post on your social media or for your connections. For example, you can ask people if they're interested in a specific topic and then invite them to join your group. Also reach out to people over WhatsApp and asked them to join your group. Just keep in mind, you don't have to invite your mom or friends. This will help you start generating traction and engaging with post the first phase will also allow you to validate the content and start understanding what really works. What's really resonating with your community members and what doesn't all groups go through the stage, you're going to be testing and trying new things out all the time. Some things are going to work and some things won't. It's one of the most important parts of building that foundation for a new group. Stage two is for groups that have been going on for a while. You already have a thriving community, but you want to keep it growing. These are some of the best hacks that I've seen that help boost growth And attract new members without spending money on ads. We usually get between 25 to 30 new requests every day without spending money on campaigns. How do we get so many new members? Well, there's three things that I've seen work well and you can implement as well. The first is a website pop up every time someone visits your website, we have a public that invites people to join our group. This is a really cool and easy way to get people to invite them to join your group. If you look at this image, you can see on the left corner, join our facebook group. This is a great way to invite people. We also have links on our main menu and our website to just invite people to find you and join your community. The second one is email marketing. Once people sign up to our newsletter, download a study guide or a trip wire or anything that you have within your website. We usually send them content, user generated content. We use the content that we have in our group in our email marketing campaigns. And also invite people to join our facebook group as part of those efforts, those are people who, you know, they've shown high, they've shown high interest and usually become really good community members and last Youtube and other social media channels, make sure that you share your groups within all of your social media channels. For example, on every single youtube that we have on every video, we add links so that people join our community. You can see it down there, join our facebook group, there's a link and this is just a really cool example of how we bring traffic back to the group and new members. So make sure that you leverage all of your social media channels. You know, we place links on instagram on our linkedin profiles. It just invites people to your group. Again, this is a way to centralize a way for people to join and also just bring the right people the right audience to your facebook group in Stage three are for groups already large enough and these are the ones that are harder to grow, especially if you're going after target audiences. And what you want to do is start joining other communities where your members hang out, find communities where your target audiences is and they're already part of other groups. Start engaging with them, google communities or facebook groups, search them on the search bar, see what content works there. Start engaging within those communities as well. Those are the main tactics that you can copy and use to launch grow your community and your facebook group. They're easy to implement and should help you build a consistent growth with new members request that will help you and that will become valuable over time in keep growing a thriving facebook group.
