Day 1 Wrap-Up

It's been an incredible day. We have learned a ton. I think people are learning things about their business that maybe they're not even photographers from things were teaching us. There's been incredible. You guys have been a great studio audience. Want to thank you? Definitely. Thank you so much for all of your amazing questions. Thank you to all our pets that have come in and all of our pet. Totally thank you to all the models that have been great have been so great. And I think we'll give a huge round of applause to you are. Thank you, Theo. So looking forward to tomorrow. So let's go over all of the things that will be learning tomorrow. You're testing me again, E. I have I have a schedule right in you toes, You know, so tomorrow. Oh, what are we doing tomorrow? I am like I said, taking you from start to finish. Um, what happens in my studio? So we book the session from taking client notes, toe logging orders, the having our workflow toe, having three folders and knowing you know t...

his. Clients ready to print this client? We're waiting on this, Kleiner. Whatever it is serving tea, showing all of our products, and I serve tea. I'm going to put it on a photo coaster. That's what we dio and they're pretty. I'm gonna show them to you there tumble tile coasters. There's not cheesy plastic, so there's things that you can do. And, like I was saying, with pet photography, I feel like there's so much more leeway with using those type of products Darcy was showing me. He's doing IPhone covers. So IPhone cases with pets and things like that will sell so well, not all the time with high school seniors. And people don't always want, like their child on like a big blanket on the wall, but like it sells with pets. So there's a lot of things that we do like that when we do the ordering session, there's a blanket and a pillow on the couch, and it's a photo pillow on a photo blanket. So things like that writing thank you cards to your clients. So just making all those extra little touches toe add value, um, to your clients investment. So we're gonna walk you through all that. I'm going to start the day off with marketing advertising. That's actually a really big one. So we're doing marketing, advertising, networking. I'm gonna answer your question about art displays and how we market and how we get our clients and the adoption portrait's. We do how we do it, why we do it, what we get out of it, what we give back, Um, the end of the day. I know that we're doing an awesome shoot. Can we, like, announce what it is? Or is that like a secret? We can't tell anyone yet. I'm not sure. Did we make it a secret? I don't know about any secrets. OK, so tomorrow have you guys heard what we're shooting? So the end of the day tomorrow we're doing a session. It's one client who owns a duck, a chicken, rats, a hairless dog, a great Dane and a minister horse. So she's coming into the studio and she was bringing all of those animals. She's renting a trailer and bringing all of her animals to the studio. So that's what we're closing our workshop with. And I'm gonna show you guys and again it seems crazy, but like I'm gonna get a group shot. That's what we're gonna dio That's her and it's her and her twin daughters and her her farm. So the Internet is extremely excited about this family reporter. Good. It's awesome, and they're also loving this workshop. Just a few quotes. Lisa Cord Erica is so freaking amazing and making 10 from Connecticut Arcas, demeanor and calm is sensed by the animals. That is awesome. Watching this has calmed me. You know, the comment that Darcy made earlier was No, I saw. Is Abou running around crazy after we took that break? Granted, I threw the ball when I was a go play because you're sessions done. But she was out there doing tug of war and she was going crazy. And I almost wish that we could, like, show that to be like thes air. What, The dogs. Really? Yeah, she seemed really well behaved, and she waas, but it's just because we're having that calm energy just capturing those portrait's. And again, it's not boring. It's not like we were trying to get these boring portrait over. She was super expressive and her eyes, and we got her smiling and mouth pose and her years up. Yeah, he's fantastic and I love your story that you just shared with us and how much how honest you were inauthentic about. There was a large amount of winning it. And what's great about this course. And just in day one of this course, we've learned so much about setting up the consultations, studying up the portrait packages, tips and tricks the tools toe have literally in your bag in front of you. And I really appreciate you sharing that with all of us. Just what you discovered since 6 2007 years. Yeah, and I think that's so important because, you know, I could just shoot all day, and that's really helpful for you guys and gives you tips. But it doesn't help you run a successful business. It doesn't help you figure out how to charge my clients how to get the right. Clients had a market to the right people, so that's such a big part of the business, too. And as creatives, of course, we're just sometimes just want to shoot, sometimes just want to give things away for free sometimes and pets passed away. It's just like tugging at the heartstrings, and you want to get things for free, and we're gonna talk about all of that tomorrow. We do client gifts when pets passed away, but I just I don't give things away for free. Even if we shot the session and they came back a week later and their pet is already passed away in that time, it's still full price. And it's not that it's harsh or anything like that. It's like, No, we did this beautiful thing for you. You know, these are what the portrait star, But I'm gonna print this beautiful gift for you, for you to have a little charm toe, you know, take them with you wherever you go and things like that. So I think it's very different than people portraiture. If you're dealing with, like a child or something like that, or a husband or someone who passed away totally different, I'd be like Holy cannoli. Here's everything because that's just not a normal thing. But with pets, it's It's just part of the business as sad as it is. But that's so special for us to be able to do that and create that for those clients. So now there's a lot to go over tomorrow and I also I just want to reiterate something that you said earlier is is valuing yourself on valuing that investment in your work. You're creating beautiful portraiture, and it's very important that you own that, and you will find those clients that want to invest in your in yourself in the beautiful portraiture. Don't compromise. That's one thing that has also been very clear. Is very clear boundaries about what you will and will not stand for and what how you want to run your business and make money from it well, and something I want to say to is It takes the same money effort to shoot a portrait on a beautiful couch that matches the client's home, and it's very elegant. And it's a nice, beautiful piece of art, same month of effort, as if you did a cheesy themed portrait session unless you're doing the many sessions or whatever. But if that's your style of photography, I'm not saying I'm looking down on it. I'm just saying you have to work so much harder for so much less money. So if you're going to do those types of sessions, it's the same money effort. So just make it match the client's style. I'm not saying do Victorian couch in the clients really contemporary, So match it to their style. That same month of effort, you might as well make money out of it and create an art piece for them. Exactly. More beautiful things in the world. Yeah, which is what we're all here to do. Really? I believe that. And I said yes. Two days arcas. Seven years of wisdom packed into two days at an incredible value of $99. For these two days, you can you own the content for life. You can have arca in your pocket on your IPad on your android on your mobile device, but for during the live broadcast, we're bringing you this value for $79. I've watched A LOT of CreativeLIVE courses and Arica is by far the most effective and talented instructor I've seen. She's also got an extraordinary ability to photograph animals and their humans while remaining calm and in control. Even if you're not a pet photographer, this is a fabulous resource. Putting aside how amazing it is to watch her photograph in what seems like impossible situations and get the shot time after time, she also gives a lot of great information that applies to any professional photographer, whether they photograph pets or not. She's truly an amazing talent and I hope she does many more workshops -- I'm not a pet photographer but I'll watch all of them.

Arica's presentation was extraordinary. Such an incredible amount of valuable, practical information on everything from the basics of how to run a business profitably to how to attract and maintain value-oriented clientele to actually working with and photographing a variety of pets and their people. Arica demonstrated time and again during the live shoots that she was in mastery of both her techniques and her subjects, and in a way that felt simultaneously relaxed/casual and businesslike. That last session with the horse, duck, chicken, rabbits, dogs and people was a challenging balancing act and she pulled it off flawlessly. Finally, I appreciate all the detail she provided, such as names of vendors and how and why she uses each one. Absolutely no filler, all substance. I am in the process of taking my own pet photography from sideline business/ volunteer work to profit-making status and the timing of this program could not have been better for me. I'm a huge fan and look forward to more from her although it’s hard to imagine that there is anything left for her to cover about this topic because in this course, she did it all. A natural talent: smart, great on-screen presence, honest and a true teacher. Thank you, Arica!

Hi I am an aspiring pet photographer. I own 6 dogs and 4 cats that have been rescued in some way. I have learned a lot just by practicing with them. Arica's course today and yesterday showed me what I was doing wrong and everything that I was doing right. I impressed myself that I actually was doing very well. lol. I do have a web site http://squeakynes.wix.com/lisas-creations ,and if you can review it and give me some positive critism, it would just be terrific. There is a tab titled pets etc. My email address is under contact me. Thank you in advance. I tried to watch other courses but none of them would keep my attention. I had no problem with Arica AT ALL. I definitely will attend all and any other courses she offers. Her courses made me realize this dream of mine is just what I am suppose to do in life. I have a lot of the same qualities as Arica and my passion for animals. But...............I WILL NOT photograph snakes, no way. lol Arica, you TOTALLY ROCK. I look forward to the next one. xoxo
