Products Unique to Pet Photography

all right products unique to pet photography. So I just wanted to go through some of the things that I offer at my studio that are unique to having a pet photography business. So memory boxes are one of the products that we offer, and it's four when pets pass away. And it's just a place where clients can keep all of their things. Sometimes your pets past, you just don't know what to do with everything. Like I don't want to throw their collar away. And then I have all these little snapshots, and this was like their favorite treat, and I just don't want to throw it away. Just wanna have that memory and that smell on those things, and they're Rabies tags or whatever. It's just some you wanna have. So we have memory boxes that we offer, and they're actually a product from White House, and the rial product is a White House album box, and I think it's a eight by eight album box, and it comes out to be a nine by nine size to fit a bite album. So we order a nine by nine or it comes out to a ni...

ne by nine size and we do the inside panelas well, so you have the image on the front. You flip it open, there's an inside panel. We completely custom design it, put their name on it, put little pop prints on it. So it's a great product and get unique and get creative with products like this. Because just because your lab doesn't have pet specific things, you can create me. This is just something we created were like, Well, that'd be kind of coalitions. Order one and see how it works. And it's like a super popular product. So dog tags. So this is from a change color lab, and they actually do a metal bone shaped dog tag, and you can put a photo on it. It's awesome, and they're like, super affordable, like less than $10. I'm not sure how much they are, but we offer these, and we can do them custom where you have their name and phone number or some people just get their photo, and it's just a cute little thing they can put on their key chain. Or they could, like, added to their bag. You can do them as gifts. They're great gifts. This could also be a gift for clients when their pets pass. Obviously don't put their phone number on that, but you know their picture and their name super affordable for something like that. And again, when you write a note to them, you can just say, I just want to do to be able to take Duke with you wherever you go. You know, it's a little thing they can carry some. They have people dog tags to. This is the product that was actually given away from Planet Jill. So this isn't sterling Silver. Like I said, that would be like way too much silver and the crazy key chain. But this is pewter, but everything is waterproof on their amazing with all of their products. And it's not just this I just put This is a sample, but it's so popular for what we sell So much photo jewelry and the thing I'll tell you guys to with some of my products, my photo handbags, which I'll show you next, my photo jewelry. I don't do a huge markup on those. I do kind of a standard retail times to mark up where my portrait's and doing 567 time markup on those. The reason I do that is because these air marketing pieces for me, I want people to get them, even if I'm not making as much money because they're walking billboard with their handbag and they're walking billboard with their photo necklace and they're brag books. They're going to show everyone so products like that if it's a marketing piece that everyone's going to see, I do make a compromise on not marking them up so much. So photo handbags. So the image that you see the two Weimaraners in the back on the brown background that's my handbag. So that's Duke and Drake. That's what I carry with me every day. I brought it on this trip with me, but I don't go anywhere without it, and I get a ton. I shouldn't say, Get a ton of business from it. I hand out a ton of business cards from it, which, just for carrying a person I want to carry anyway, is so powerful. So they offer all kinds of different styles from wallets, cosmetic bags, totes. You can pick two different color leathers, so they have a casual line if you want canvas handle, so it is a really cool products to add. But just make sure you're doing it carefully, because for us, it's kind of add on product. We really don't pay attention to these as much on we don't try and Upsell them up front because we're not doing a huge markup. We try and make it kind of an afterthought after they've gotten their wall portrait's and gift prints. And let's talk about handbags and jewelry and just try and make it add on product. Some people do that like on a bonus schedule, so, like this is available on the bonus schedule. So if you spend X amount of dollars, you can get it for X amount that way there, you know, and you can make it a crazy price up front. So why don't want to buy a $500 handbag? But since I'm getting all this stuff, maybe I could buy a $200 handbag, so if you want to do it like that, so they're not just getting that and leaving and you didn't get a huge markup on it. It's a great product

I've watched A LOT of CreativeLIVE courses and Arica is by far the most effective and talented instructor I've seen. She's also got an extraordinary ability to photograph animals and their humans while remaining calm and in control. Even if you're not a pet photographer, this is a fabulous resource. Putting aside how amazing it is to watch her photograph in what seems like impossible situations and get the shot time after time, she also gives a lot of great information that applies to any professional photographer, whether they photograph pets or not. She's truly an amazing talent and I hope she does many more workshops -- I'm not a pet photographer but I'll watch all of them.

Arica's presentation was extraordinary. Such an incredible amount of valuable, practical information on everything from the basics of how to run a business profitably to how to attract and maintain value-oriented clientele to actually working with and photographing a variety of pets and their people. Arica demonstrated time and again during the live shoots that she was in mastery of both her techniques and her subjects, and in a way that felt simultaneously relaxed/casual and businesslike. That last session with the horse, duck, chicken, rabbits, dogs and people was a challenging balancing act and she pulled it off flawlessly. Finally, I appreciate all the detail she provided, such as names of vendors and how and why she uses each one. Absolutely no filler, all substance. I am in the process of taking my own pet photography from sideline business/ volunteer work to profit-making status and the timing of this program could not have been better for me. I'm a huge fan and look forward to more from her although it’s hard to imagine that there is anything left for her to cover about this topic because in this course, she did it all. A natural talent: smart, great on-screen presence, honest and a true teacher. Thank you, Arica!

Hi I am an aspiring pet photographer. I own 6 dogs and 4 cats that have been rescued in some way. I have learned a lot just by practicing with them. Arica's course today and yesterday showed me what I was doing wrong and everything that I was doing right. I impressed myself that I actually was doing very well. lol. I do have a web site http://squeakynes.wix.com/lisas-creations ,and if you can review it and give me some positive critism, it would just be terrific. There is a tab titled pets etc. My email address is under contact me. Thank you in advance. I tried to watch other courses but none of them would keep my attention. I had no problem with Arica AT ALL. I definitely will attend all and any other courses she offers. Her courses made me realize this dream of mine is just what I am suppose to do in life. I have a lot of the same qualities as Arica and my passion for animals. But...............I WILL NOT photograph snakes, no way. lol Arica, you TOTALLY ROCK. I look forward to the next one. xoxo
