Photo Week Bus Tour - Clip 19

All right, welcome back everyone to creative live. We are at our final stop before seattle. We're in olympic olympia, washington, not the olympic mountains. Same thing, same thing. It's been a long right. We're here in front of the state capital and we wanted to finish up by doing a group shot in front of the bus and the state capital. So that's, what we're gonna do, victor, is going to show us what he has set up. We've got a little additional lighting, victor. Show us what you've done. Ok, so basically, I had my camera on a tripod because I got to set my camera to like a time ah release so I can step in that hole right there and take a picture of everybody. You guys notice that the bus is actually kind of reflective, so I couldn't get my light source nearly as high as they wanted it to. So in order, tio kind of get the group lit, but not get a huge reflection off of the bus. I needed to defuse the light and get the light really flat to the group just so that I can live illuminate them...

. If you guys see the group right now, they're just kind of their kind of overcast late, so the lighting is actually not awful, but there's no directional light and you could start to see that there is just like you know shadows in people's eyes and stuff like that so you kind of want to get rid of shadows under chains under eyes but that just isn't flattering for people so you want to like them so you could help help everyone just look a little bit better so what I say we look wait boss for two days look at the bags under there so what I want to do what I'm gonna do is take a photograph with out the lights and then we'll take a photograph with lights that you all can see what's going on okay so give me a second without the light tells this's without the light okay ready and waiting close the bus door requests oh yeah okay wait. So there's a tip guys always check your frame okay, here we go here's without the lights get ready one two and three ok, so you guys take a look they look really sad really upset, you know, because there's no light so now we're going to do with lights and it's gonna be a ten second time everybody has to give me a second here, okay? And here we go yeah, so you should ceo tony grab somebody way oh, wait get ready and one, two three yeah except when you're moving ok, so basically what we just did guys just take a photograph of a group of people using a second source of light I actually had an extra light will be here kind of room letting us as well see hopefully see something on the on the right hand side of the image in any case that's pretty simple we just used ah large light source we've got low toe light the group and then we use the camera on a tripod so I got a chance to get in there so that's pretty much it right exactly settings, eh? So what you ended up doing in a situation like this is because the letting is actually non directional flat you could actually meet her for the actual light so I metered and got a reading of the second I got a reading off f f a a thirtieth of a second and so what I ended up doing was shooting at f eight but increasing my show just be just a little bit so I could use more of the strobe light has posed what was it? What was in the ambient light that's? Pretty much it s o I think was like one one hundred thank you, thank you so much for bringing this out setting this up. What we want to do now is we've got a locked off camera over there and we want to get the entire crew that has been on the bus with us to come on over again a group shot we need a main group shot we've got herself time are going way got someone special we want to bring on over jim our bus driver jim shot tim come on over all right so you guys are going to come in right danielle danielle you're gonna get the group shot right? Ok right we're dropping cameras were job on cameras adams going to go down to work oh tell us a little bit about how this trip has been thiss trip yes I am so happy that I took this trip because I have never seen so much energy and teamwork well I'm not really mean for you to take care of the bus taking care of me it's just been wonderful and I have gotten so many pictures that I'm going to share so I want to thank you for that all of us make sure he's the hashtag photo twenty fifteen all right you tell us when we're ready kellen come up right here by sally kelsey you're perfect their air show over to you ok you come on over here all right make sure chaos generally room for me right there and then I'm good alright and everyone here take two steps that way stop there enough tighten up and you guys are curbing against right now flattened out flat not flying off okay you guys here make sure make sure sign in the window makes your standing in the window I can't see aaron touch your left okay suddenly and sues step to your long and you coming in here I know just a touch so just a touch yes that's a good okay ready here we go here you already and e all right one more for good measure we want my forget measures alright tio crazy one crazy one todo wait how long would wear red line my camera all right your way e way so live we're getting silly and, uh you go your way come back over e need to know what is so funny before we too now no I don't need to know so what? We're going to dio not sure where I'm looking but we are going to you just give us um final on this crazy and crazy the road trip before we start we got to turn that off is it?
