Course Introduction

Hello and welcome to creative live. This is photo shop in light room creative cloud editions for twenty fifteen with ben wilmore. And my name is chris jennings. I'm going to be your host for this class. And if you are out there running the latest version of creative cloud, if you want to know about all the new features in this year's version, you come to the right place. Been wilmore is gonna teach us all about it. If you're not familiar with ben, let me tell you a little bit about him. He is a member of the photo shop hall of fame and he has taught photo shop on five different continents and his books, his dvds. His seminars have made him one of america's favorite photo shop instructors and he's, certainly a favorite of creative live. We always love having him here. And I've lost track of all of the courses he's taught. But it's always good to have him come, teach us even more so without further ado, please welcome ben wilmore. It's, good to see you. Welcome back before we get in toda...

y's in today's content. I just have a quick question for you before we were talking about how some people are intimidated by that. But that word upgrade and like the new things that come in each version, but there's actually a lot of positive features that come out and each new version of creative cloud. So just as an overview, what can people look forward to in today's course and some of the good things that are coming in this new version? Well, the main thing is now we get new features as they're ready, and the problem is you might get an update and they've added some new features. Some of them will be big where they're easy to find you go in the menu, all there's, something new here, but then oftentimes there's a little hidden things in the stuff you already use that makes it so much more useful, and those are the things they're not easy to discover on your own. You might need to hold on a special key to get to it or anything like that and that's part of what will be learning today is not only the big features, but also the little refinements that can really make a big difference. So we're gonna start off with light room and get into those changes, then we'll pop over to photo shop, and I think we're going to learn some really great stuff. Ok, that sounds great. So all of you out there who have been following along in the software is going to something for everyone. Big changes, little changes, lots to learn from then the band taking away sounds good. All right? Also, since they've made changes not just in two thousand fifteen, but earlier. I will cover some of the changes they've made in previous versions as well. Because there's, a bunch of stuff that you probably don't know is in there, especially the kinds where they've added keyboard shark hits that weren't there before, or little hidden features. And so I want to make sure that I don't limit myself just in two thousand fifteen. But I'll get a little bit into some of the earlier additions that they've had.

Got to "know" Ben during Photoshop Week and a few other courses. He has consistently been one of my favorite Photoshop instructors. He is extremely easy to follow, stays on point without being cold or boring, and is immensely knowledgeable on just about everything Photoshop. He does not disappoint in this fantastic in-depth review of some great new features in PhotoShop and Lightroom CC 2015 ... there are some real hidden gems in there for you. Ben polishes them up and serves them to you with extra info, insight, and pertinent examples. He goes the extra mile to answer questions and delve into related subjects without going off the rails. GREAT, GREAT course. Thanks Ben, and Creative Live! -Tim K.

I just purchased this course today and it's wonderful. Ben is one of the best Photoshop instructors I've encountered. I had purchased the complete Mastery course and this one is a welcome addition since it covers new features. Even though Photoshop and Lightroom will continue to evolve, the basic techniques and tools used are basically the same, so I find myself going back to the mastery course if I hit a bump along the way. Ben's knowledge is second to none, but his true gift is the ability to transmit all that knowledge in bite size and understandable portions that are never boring. Someday I will have the privilege to know him personally, in the meantime I will continue to buy his courses as they come out. Such a wealth of information. Thanks Ben and CreativeLive!
