Cavalier: Puppy in Posing Bag

This is typical signs of them starting to relax, and go off into that sleep. So I'm gonna bring the little posing bag over, yes. (whispers) Not for you. Having this well really allows you to create those gorgeous, circular shapes. (laughs) Come here. I know, I'm sorry, you're sleeping there. Okay, Garrett can I get you to come and grab me a couple of things? I can grab something too. Okay so, I was a little, I want just that little headband, yep that one with the bow is perfect. And then what we might do is use, yeah, perfect. Okay while this one's asleep I'm just gonna keep going. Yeah. (laughs) And even though I only try to do one setup for each one, with these guys being a little older, that's my sock. You can see she's gone off to sleep now, ow that's hurting. irl. (whimpers) Okay we might pull this backdrop up a little bit in the back there, make it nice and tight. Grab this corner here for me. (whispers) Oh, that's naughty. Your sister's sleeping. So I'm gonna down come this way, yeah just that back bit there. (beeps as camera focuses) (shutter sounds) Perfect.

I am not a photographer. I do compositing using Photoshop and was interested in seeing how they set up and pose such lively subjects. Such care was taken with the puppies and I learned a lot about getting just the right poses using different setups like muslin, bowls, etc. For compositing, it's important to know what you are looking for in order to bring images together correctly. This course, besides being fun to watch, has helped me, even if my images don't wiggle as much as these puppies.

I loved everything about this class!! It was so obvious by the handling and the way you interacted with the puppies how much care and thought goes into the artwork you created. I'm so excited to put all of your ideas into my own creativity. Thank you for providing me with the inspiration to move forward with pet photography!
