Look this pair is slowing down. They can't stay awake forever. You know what, I might stick another one in here, Jade. I thought it was a bit bigger. Shh, shh, shh, shh, shh, shh, shh, shh. Shh. Shh, shh, shh. Just trying to get him a little more curly here. I've got one paw underneath there, there it is. Perfect and that just helps hold their face up a bit higher. It's so cute. Those colors are beautiful. So getting that one shot coming in with the face closest to the camera. (Kelly laughs) I'm now going to try and turn him a little more and get his face to come up and shoot from above and down. There you go. Sleepy time. Mum's gone to sleep over there. That's a boy. Perfect. (Kelly laughs) Now if this bowl was a little bigger, we'd put both of them in there together in a bit of a yang, a yang and yin position. Up here, you're in my shot. Yeah, that's beautiful. (off camera talking) So in shooting from above, I always make sure I've got my camera strap around my neck, so I'm not d...
ropping. I've got my aperture set at 2.8 and again with this light is sort of sitting here, I'm shooting to the right so overexposing it slightly telling my camera what to do. So I'm about two thirds of the stop overexposed and I'm focusing on that eye right there. So I'm not looking at my shutter speed, I'm purely going off my meter and then I'm having a look at the histogram to make sure I haven't overexposed any of those highlights.

I am not a photographer. I do compositing using Photoshop and was interested in seeing how they set up and pose such lively subjects. Such care was taken with the puppies and I learned a lot about getting just the right poses using different setups like muslin, bowls, etc. For compositing, it's important to know what you are looking for in order to bring images together correctly. This course, besides being fun to watch, has helped me, even if my images don't wiggle as much as these puppies.

I loved everything about this class!! It was so obvious by the handling and the way you interacted with the puppies how much care and thought goes into the artwork you created. I'm so excited to put all of your ideas into my own creativity. Thank you for providing me with the inspiration to move forward with pet photography!
