Rocketman eCard Critique

Chris, Let's talk a little bit more about your business. Bring the audience. If you would please back up to date on your you know, if you wouldn't mind what you come on up and take. Take the hot seat here with Crockett. Come on in the hot seat. Hot seat time. Hot seat down and sit down with me because I want to ask you a couple of questions and find out if we can help you as well as the viewers at home. Figure out what's going to be the best way to go. When you talk about your business, tell Tell Laura. Speak Teoh, Lorenzo and I about what it is. That's your typical transaction in your business. Being a marketing guy. What is it? Typical transaction. So I work a lot with entrepreneurs and emerging businesses, small business service professionals. And it's a lot of marketing and branding. So it's anything from their logo to their marketing materials, brochures, website design, that sort of thing. Trade show graphics. So when they come to you, they already have basically a concept that t...

hey need help making it visual mostly, exactly. OK, do you work in any sort of video or audio media at all. I don't Okay, don't. Is that something that you want to work on? Assure you now. Yeah. Yeah. You know, this whole time as I'm going through these experiences, just like Lawrence of such is blowing my mind. Thinking of all the possibilities and applications for this, uh, just just endless. Yeah, Yeah. Terrific. Okay, then yesterday we had the ability to shoot a new e card for you. I say to photographers all the time in your Garcia, none on our group that in order for photographers to get started selling e cards as well as selling other any any other e product hybrid photography product, they've got toe have strong examples. A lot of the times, of course. You know that I offer my samples. In fact, there are a handful of other hybrid heroes that are available for us on the linked in group that they offer their own samples to photographers to now, some of us think that it's really inappropriate to do that. And others think that it's okay. I'm I'm kind of on the fence that I don't know how comfortable I would be using your even though you're so gracious. Say you were so gracious to offer to let me use those. I don't know how comfortable I would be using those to go out to customers. I certainly wouldn't say that I shot, but I would downplay the whole lot that I didn't shoot those to make sure that they would see him. And then I would be very comfortable. T be ableto replicate those. Is that something that you would be able to do where you wouldn't be able to replicate my own example? Yeah, that's a heck. Yeah. I mean, that's after him. That's what I want to get to be able to present an example. And yeah, because that's where, uh, you know they need to get a taste of that sauce that give me a time frame. How far away do you think you are in your normal progress, including what we learn here this week of being able to launch your first hybrid product? Oh, man, I'd say, uh, weeks if that I mean, you know, I think after this experience, in seeing how easy it can be, um, I think I'm much closer than I thought I was coming into this. You know, um, I think there are a lot of aspects and, uh, things that only to learn. But at the same time, I think it's, uh, just seeing it sort of step by step here, and I don't think it will be is challenging, as I once thought. Okay. And I know that Dan worked overnight last night to do you favors. He heard a shirt and have any chance did he send you a text that he did? He did. And here's what. Here's, uh, well, earlier, uh, last night a zai was about ready to go to bed. I check my phone for one last time, Let's check my email. And this is like 11. 30 at night and in my in box. I've got the text email from Dan with the video, and I watched it, and I realized it was a mistake for me to check my email before I because I was so excited. I didn't get any sleep, and I was so jazz and excited to, um to see this, and it just it was so impactful. You know, I wanted to at that moment, share it with all my clients all my potential clients, the person in the grocery store line, you know, it was there was a sense of pride And, like, you know, that really communicates what I'm all about In a very short, succinct bite size away. Nobody's gonna 10 10 these days. And I didn't I didn't realize until I I felt it firsthand and saw myself on the screen there. That it just just blew me away. So that would that was my first. Um, yeah, that was That was my first percents of it. Is that it? Right there? That's it, right there. Yeah. Could we switch over to the card, please? Don't worry. When you chose a beautiful blue background Let's look at it and let's go back. And then let's reanalyzing. Right. Okay, here we go. Gonna hit the play button. Chris Adams from Rocketman Creative. I specialize in helping small businesses elevate their brand identity, accelerate success. And then there's your information. Totally works, doesn't it? Totally now for your your customer. You your customer that's going to be coming to you. They want fresh ideas right now. They wanna have rebranding ideas or take for instance, they've got a big project. When I came to you, I had a huge project, and I said, Dude, I need to have a lot of help with something that's really kind of unusual. Here's when I need you to do I need you to do this. This This you go? Yep. I got it sent me out. The whole thing, The proposal. I said the price is right. It's a great we're going to do on this. Tell me what the next step are. Off we go. All right, Now, I was able to go ahead and hire you, even though you didn't have a nanny card pro. However, now that you do, how are you gonna use this? Really? Like right now to go generate new customers, man. Well, you know, walking up to a new customer, you know, ensuring them you could have this and showing them. You know, the various aspects of it could I stepped through it just for just tell you a couple of things that really grabbed me right away. And they might be kind of subtle things with being a graphics guy. Okay, so right here at the intro. Yeah. I mean, yeah, Dan is just great. He pulled down my logo from my website, now has a graphics and branding guy that is so huge toe have that front center customized 3% right? And you know, for my clients, for them to see that right away on and present of the world. I mean, branding is everything, by the way, that's the first place my eye goes You don't know left, right? So it's a terrific picture right now. I could have done a better job, by the way For would have taken more time with two. However, I'm OK with the photo, But the first thing I do is I go to that local because that logo just speaks to me. It totally does, right? Obviously. Email phone number, which will get later in on a quick CT A. But I think that's great. But you know what I like to like right up in front? What is your instantly As soon as that pumps up there, even if you don't watch the video, I got a picture of the guy. The guy looks like he looks okay, right? Right, right. That's right. You've got a really nice looking logo going you've got your email address and got your phone number popped up. By the way, that really is Chris's email. That's true. These people call in to ask about how it was to be on hybrid, right? Creative like if you do have worked for him, please give him a car. That's nice. Just just should be courteous and you want todo stop right there. I'm blown away by now. I've got my right. This is this happened? Dan pulled this down from my website. This is the home page of my website. So you know, for my customer, I'm seeing, you know, for to grab a taste of their own website or they've got, you know, services page on the website that they want a flash real quick home man, that's that's that's great. So now that when they when the viewer gets to the end of the video and I hit the t t a, they go back to the website, there's this instant connection where they instantly feel comfortable that they saw this from the intro. The card right here on day feel comfortable with the right spot when they get back to being a branding and a marketing guy say you're trying to help save Patty Bradley's business, right? Let's go back in time, carry years. Patti Bradley is trying to save that business. And we all know even she knows the fact that continuing the business plan the way she had it was going to die. There was no way you're gonna be able to say that, because now you're talking about price competitive with people who don't have a studio. And there's no way to win, even know how much better her product is going to be than anyone else. That's gonna be a hard one to win. So what would Patty Bradley put into this space as filler in order to show Hey, now, I'm not only just a basic portrait photographer, I'm now. Ah, hybrid photographer. What do you think it was in there for that type of photographer? Sorry to put you. Yeah, no for me, You know that when I think of marketing the key and marketing is you always want the person you're speaking to and ask. What's that? Yeah. Now you're starting dialogue, so just like I could see a taste of her hybrid type photography page on her site. You know that I'm hybrid photographer and, you know, you get a glimpse of that announced it. What's that? Oh, I'm glad you asked, you know, So you just leading them right into that conversation. So just something new that that the competition isn't gonna have. So those you know, those moms that air, like safe picking up the cameras and great cameras are becoming you get verily, inexpensively all over. Uh, you know, just that one little thing that set you apart from the rest and begins that dialogue and, of course, huge. Here's where you and I agree all over the place because when we take a look at the things that we want to do, One of the things that I want to make sure that I do is that I want clients to be able to ask a question. And the question that I'm gonna have them ask is this is actually our latest version of our logo, and I'm sorry I didn't hire you to do our logo. I'm sorry. There's still there's still there's still time. Okay, We want to sell in our logo. And I'm a big, big believer in local way. Want to sell the fact that we are Chicago? So we've got Chicago in the back there, right? I've got Chicago is our first word, but you'll notice it's in Camel case, meaning number lowers right then poor trip because we're selling Portrait's. We're not selling anything else with Portrait's, but we're selling different types of portrait. Of course, I love having dot dresses, right? One of the things that I've done you really surprised it hasn't been that hasn't taken off in the photo universe when photographers, By the way, here's a little will pocket typically right marketing tip of the day. Say you're in an environment, a busy environment like Seattle and you've got a lot of pro photographers that are battling with non pro photographers. And remember, we decide. Crockett says that the difference between a pro and a non pro photographer is the intent of generating right now. That doesn't mean that that person next door that's got a camera, her or he is intended on making money with that camera. So that means that they're a pro to turn your work. Maybe 10 times better. You clients maybe 10 times happier. You may have all the tools that you need to, but that intent is still there. What's one of the ways that that claim is gonna differentiate? How are they gonna know what happens if your neighbor is really good at Web design? Or what? If they spend three grand and they get themselves a really nice website, then all of a sudden there on equal platform with you, you've got this beautiful website. You've got this perfect text. What if they get lucky and they get a really nice website and they get really nice text? One of the reasons I think that separates us is dot Pro, I think dot pro. I know I've talked a Web experts. It says all the worst thing you can do is to use anything but dot com On some websites, you should be using dot net because all it does is that alien eights, whatever, whenever never I disagree. I think photographers have to separate themselves themselves from non pro photographers. So I bought pro websites and you know how many different pros there? I'll betcha that friends of smart photographer watching right now you could go get best photographer in Seattle dot pro I'll bet you it's open interest. How about Seattle portrait photographer dot com? How about Seattle Hybrid photographer dot pro? In fact, that was not available because I bought it. Give it to you. That's right. You might have read before. Yeah, yeah, but I already bought one in case you wanted. Okay, that's just one of things that want to do. You know what's so important to me when you look at the tag line underneath my logo? I need to introduce how we're going to start selling hybrid. And that is, look, Chicago style family business and talking portrait's. I'd love to be able to put hybrid Portrait's in there, but I didn't. Do you know how I found out that I wasn't going to do it Is I use Google AdWords when I'm talking about sales. And when I'm talking about how I'm going to sell something, I'm gonna uses many of the online tools as possible. And I know you're a big nickel online Edwards. Guys, I'm gonna hop on Google, and I'm gonna use the tools that Google offers for free and summer for pay that let you find out which words are attracting which people to go toe which websites now. That's extremely important to us. Because I wanted to know, Could I get away with hybrid? Well, I couldn't. When I looked regionally in my audience there, too, I found out that hybrid meant cars, Right? There was no hybrid imaging. Although when we want to retract someone's attention and we want to differentiate ourselves because we're in Chicago Big City Portrait Well, at support your photography watching really good portrait are differs in Chicago. Course, we do have the dot pro going for us, and we're never gonna be the cheapest photographer, the least expensive photographer. I don't want him. No, no, no. We're gonna lose that battle. And plus, you know what? I don't need to play that battle. We do have a couple of things that we don't have to worry about. And at risk of sounding arrogant in the slightest. And, you know, I'm certainly not that way, But, you know, I'm a bit of a rock star photographer, right? I kind of got that thing going on when they Google. Will Crockett is a photographer. They're gonna go. Whoa, That's that guy knows what he's doing that really doesn't have a whole lot to do with my skill of taking a picture of your dog, for instance. But they do go. That guy's got a reputation. You must know what he's doing. But the next catchphrase that's inside there is Chicago style family business and talking portrait's. We've actually moved on to a building that's on the uninterested action of a busy street and we've got on the front. We've got nice glass windows that are going to show photos right when we think we're ready. We're gonna put televisions in there and then at night they're gonna be able to show those moving versions of the photos. But on the side of the building, we've got a beautiful square space in the building that we're going to be able to show a square version of that slow go that's gonna have the talking portrait on their to why it's gonna make people call and ask that same question you did. What the heck is that right? Let's go back just for a second to your local convention, which is one little such a branding. I've always got that that head on, said talking Portrait's Yes, sir, and for me. You know, there's enough information there Portrait's that people relate to. They know what that is. Yeah, but then you throw in that little little adjustment talking portrait. Yeah. So now when they read it, they say, Okay, I know what part of that is. I got a pretty good sense, but there's one little just a little thing that that's new and that the loops to something new that begins that begins that discussion. And do you notice that I didn't put it first and I didn't put it primary. I didn't make it bright red. I just made it my little Crockett blue because I didn't want people to be intimidated. I don't want Grandma to be included in the picture and Grandma's I don't wanna talk on there. I'm missing a tooth or I don't like the way I speak, but I don't think I have a really nice smile. I don't want Grandma to be intimidated by the hall talking portrait, but I do want Mom and Dad to be intimidated. And then as we move along and as hybrid photography becomes more popular, moms are going to realize, Oh, that's the kind of photography that has the voice of Little Jimmy and Johnny and Janey inside the picture and you've got There's bingo right there. There's Amigo. Did you wanna look? It's more sharing. Plan the rights. There's one more part in here that I wanted to take a look. Chris Adams from Rocketman Creative. I specialize in helping small businesses elevate their brand identity. Accelerate success. Cool, Cool. And one thing I noticed with this is you know, when we say hybrid, uh, photography, You know, we're talking about the skilful blend of photos and video and audio, right, And that, you know, that sounds like OK, I get it. You know it in theory, right? But until I saw this until you explained yesterday, you know, there are some moments that are best presented as a photo still frame right, cause you're catching a second time, right? There are other moments when the video is the best capture, you know, voice and movement in it in a better sense of a flow of sequence. That's right. And obviously the audio is integrated into that. But it was until I saw these compiled together no one by one. You know the photos the videos photo again. That and it's just so quick and so impactful. The grouping of them together fits together. Just Yeah, you know, it's just I didn't expect that. And you know what? You know what gets me is I'm very sensitive to text. And I noticed that, uh, we were talking earlier. The the introduction about how much text, for instance, San Serif versus Right. Right. Sarah, text the choice and text in there. It's I probably would have chosen something different by the way out of Did you choose this time? I didn't. Dan Dan pulled all these only together. Yeah. Okay, I would probably change that just a little bit. Just just so I would want a match either. Mansion current try. It's exactly that, man. Creative. That's down on the bottom. But guess what I learned when I look at even this piece, this one still frame here. I learned that that's a kind of guy that I want to work with. I think I could work with that guy. I like your smile. You're looking into the camera. Your your You got an honest feel to you and you're telling me what I want to know. Look, I want my brand elevated him. I want my identity perfected. I want to accelerate success because I'm tired of waiting way. Can't you have a couple of girls into my bank account, please? Please. On the others. On the good side, he's not the bad side. Well, I think that this works out really terrific. And in fact, we're gonna pull up call to action. Right? And what do you refer to these as CTS, but yet called action. Clinton's triggers. All right, now, the ad to contact, how often do you think that that's gonna be something that clients going to use right away? I mean, you know, if there's a connection on board there instantly, you know, and I don't need to key all that in from, like, a business card, you know, that's the alternative added to contact. Okay. All right. So now tell me your platform as a photographer. Now that let's say you've taken this course you're getting comfortable with all the tools and how we shoot. And you're now knowing how we're gonna be selling this product. There's no restrictions for you. T not get started. Do it. Which you already got some sort of led lights. Ah, little I'm still not yet. I'm still playing around. I tried to go low, fi. Yeah, some sort of, Uh oh. Just made a couple of the willing Why? Very well. About cheap. Like Okay, so I have to say I told really Well, yeah, You don't look anyway, so you got your call button. Got your whatever button. You got your rocket man. Creative button. What other button would you like to see put on there? Oh, man. Got the reload card? Yeah, the oh, man. Yeah, e mean, if I wanted to go to a, uh you know, ah, to request a quote. No, that's another kind of That's right. Page I've got on my site. That might go directly to ah, quick form on my website. How about 1/3 party reference? What if you had some sort of magazine that did an article on your or what if you did? Ah, vlog post on a hybrid photo? Not right. And all of a sudden you wanted to show the fact that you're an industry leader nice and say, Hey, you want to see some of the things that we do here? That show why we're different, Those different creators. Excellent deal. Yeah. Testimonials. Yeah, I think. And I want to know your opinion This to that, Because the economy's in the tank. It's been in the tank a long time. Doesn't look to me like we're coming out of it with any sort of rage, right? But I would certainly like to see it. It certainly doesn't look to me like there's a whole lot of politicians that are doing a lot to try to help us. Small business people get where we need to go, at least in that beat this up as much as they could have. Right? So hats off to them for smashing us like the little bugs that we really are. But I I want to know your predictions on how fast you're gonna take something like hybrid photography. Enter it into your business stream. And when do you expect to start seeing ah profit pop up on a balance sheet? What's your time frame, bro? Home man. Come on. A soon as possible. You gotta answer, remember? Right? Right. Oh, man. Well, I would say it could be months. It's a It's a very low cost of entry. The platform is, you know, very inexpensive. Uh, we've already gotten a number that, you know, tools that I need to use case. And let's say let's go right there. First tools wise you're using, Uh, sorry. Fuji XY two. Got it. Terrific. Which lenses you're using. Ah, the kit. Which is you know, that you are gonna need to have one. Maybe better. Portland's right. Selling that 60 to find if not the 30 is pretty darn terrific to know I You can't go wrong with any blends. It's just not the wire ones. Okay, then. Are you planning on doing any building exterior interior stuff? You can do any real estate stuff or what your customer gonna be that you're gonna reach out for. I'm thinking I'm gonna be warm mobile because I don't. I've got a home based office, but I don't think it's necessarily outfitted right now. It has a lot of space or customers come into the home. So I think my first step is going to be on location with local customers, which I already do. You know what my customers, Anyway, when I sit down to meet with him. That's right. What type of customers unique you're gonna aim at first. Oh, man. Well, I'm thinking that with small business entrepreneurs is a group that I work with you right now, but I already have some sort of sharing group or something that your local part of right? Yeah. I mean, you know, local business groups and, you know, not so easily integrate into that can also have relationships with food trucks. That's another big segment of my my my brand food drug truck. Right, Right, right. Wait a second. You want to do any spilling the beans here with the please? Mei should wait a second. So you're gonna want Oh, my gosh. Now you got going. You're gonna want to go to a food truck which is already totally integrated into us into social media and go to them and say, I'm going to make you a hybrid product. An e product. They're gonna go. What's that? They're gonna go watch this? What if you were to have a 28 2nd piece of video that you were to share that were to show the product of the week of the month of the whatever that says, Look at how delicious this fish taco is with whatever sauce on it. And you could If you want to catch us, you click here to find out where were at. There's one of the buttons that's right there. Right? And then every week you get you've got another customer because they're changing their food every week. Right? I'm moving to Seattle. There you go. There you go. Now, the one thing I'm talking to Dan about is how to get We've got the still frames of video. How bright You got the audio. I'm sorry. We just expose it on Internet. Tell us it's true. It's true. So Dan is working on the smell A vision components that because I think that's gonna be one part way has a problem with soap. We were always fun. It happens. OK, go. Yeah. So anyway, that would be, you know, you're getting all the all the major components, so that would be, I think. Okay, great. All right. Also to if if that's something that you think is perfect for you to share the development and the growth on the Lincoln Network, I would not only would appreciate it But I would I would help you, and I'll give you the full force of our team as best we can to make that happen. I do think that's a terrific idea. And in fact, on Sunday when you're going with us to go play, do you have some food, truck friends, that our bodies of years that we could go might be ableto my people wrangle up? Because if not in case you didn't know it, one of my skills is going up to absolute anyone. I don't know. Time and making friends with them. Yeah, dogs, anybody I can talk to a chair and best buddies and 45 Yeah, I know. It's really good. We will make that happen. Oh, my gosh, that's an ingenious idea. And I congratulate you. Get out of my hot seat. Get appreciate it. Coming in here making me look bad by giving me an idea. Wow,
