Canonical URL: <https://www.creativelive.com/classes/bim-construction-documents-iii>

## Overview

In this advanced BIM Construction Documents course, students explore how to design 3D models in Revit that simultaneously generate detailed construction documentation. The course includes two major projects: creating a small residential building to understand primary Revit concepts, then applying those skills to design a 3D model of a commercial building.

- **Understand Primary Revit Concepts and BIM Integration:** Learn the fundamental Revit concepts and how they integrate with Building Information Modeling (BIM). This will help you understand the core processes of 3D modeling and project documentation.
- **Design a 3D Building Model and Interrelated Information:** Explore how to design a comprehensive 3D building model while understanding how information in the model is interrelated. This enhances your ability to create accurate and detailed building designs.
- **Develop Floors, Walls, Ceilings, and Roof Design:** Build a project that includes essential building components such as floors, walls, ceilings, stairs, curtain walls, and roofs. Hands-on experience with these elements strengthens both your 3D modeling and 2D documentation skills.
- **Create Professional-Level Graphics and Catalog Information:** Develop presentation-level architectural graphics and learn how to catalog building information using schedules. This ensures your final model is both informative and visually polished.
