## Overview

In this financial analyst program, you will gain foundational and intermediate skills in Excel, review corporate finance and financial accounting concepts, and build a comprehensive valuation model for a public company. This bootcamp is one of the most effective and affordable ways to gain the skills you need to succeed at a top financial firm.

- **Core Excel Skills:** Build a strong foundation in Excel with formulas, functions, Pivot Tables, and shortcuts.
- **Advanced Excel for Financial Modeling:** Learn advanced techniques, including Goal Seek, financial functions, shortcuts, and cash flow projection tools.
- **Accounting, Corporate Finance, and Valuation:** Review corporate finance and accounting concepts, including enterprise value, financial statement analysis, DCF modeling techniques, and corporate valuation principles.
- **Financial Modeling:** Build an integrated three-statement financial model. Create a DCF model for a public restaurant company using current financial data. Review company presentations, earnings releases, and financial reports to determine model drivers and assumptions. Using valuation principles, you will derive a value per share and evaluate the equity as a potential investment.

Prior knowledge of finance and accounting is helpful but not required, as these topics are covered throughout the program. Attendees will receive a short pre-learning guide one week prior to the start of the course.

## What you'll learn

- Write essential formulas and functions, including database functions like VLOOKUP & HLOOKUP
- Create persuasive data visualizations using line, column and pie charts (and print and share the work)
- Create Pivot Tables and use logical statements, including AND, OR, and IF statements and statistical functions such as Ranking, COUNTIFS, and SUMIFS
- Perform real company analysis and set up models and projections using real-world data
- Work with Discounted Cash Flow Modeling, Corporate Valuation, and Leveraged Buyout Modeling techniques
- Learn the basics of important financial accounting concepts, including market capitalization, enterprise value, and accrual and cash accounting

## Instructors

### Richard Trybulski — Instructor

Richard is the lead instructor for several finance courses, including Financial Accounting & Financial Statement Analysis, Stock Market Investing, and Financial Modeling, at Noble Desktop.  Richard trained new Investment Bank and Private Equity hires, including the Bank of America and Houlihan Lokey, in Modeling Mergers & Acquisitions, Trading Comps, LBOs, DCF, and 3 Statement Financial modeling. He also taught graduate university courses in Accounting, Financial Derivatives (Futures, Options, and Swaps), Fixed Income Analytics, and Corporate Finance. He currently teaches undergraduate courses in Financial Management and Data Analytics at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT.  Richard supported the Foreign Exchange Desk and Equity Desk at JP Morgan, worked as an equity research analyst at Malley Associates in NYC, developed Trade Capture Systems for Foreign Exchange and Bond Trading, and worked as a consultant, modeling/valuing real estate development (including corporate lease agreement analysis), and financial planning. Richard holds an MBA in Finance, was awarded the CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) charter, the CAIA (Chartered Alternative Investments Analysts) charter, and the CMA (Chartered Management Accountant) charter.
