This course will be free while streaming on YouTube Live **7/21/2026 7:00-10:30 EST** and made available for purchase after the event.

Swimwear is one of the toughest categories in photography to get right, and one of the most in-demand for working photographers, from e-commerce catalogs to fashion editorial to fitness brands. The lighting has to flatter skin without flattening it. The posing has to read as confident, not stiff or overly exposed. And brands often need very specific, very consistent shots delivered fast.

In this workshop, you'll watch the instructor shoot swimwear entirely in a controlled studio: lighting setups that render skin and fabric correctly, posing techniques that flatter every body type, styling and wardrobe logistics for fast suit changes, and how to add water-inspired effects (sheen, mist, wet-look) without ever needing a pool or location. We'll also cover the business side: what brands actually need for catalog/e-commerce delivery versus editorial swim, and how to direct models through a shoot that requires more trust and clear communication than almost any other genre.

### Who This Course Is For

- Portrait and fashion photographers looking to add swim/resortwear to their portfolio
- Photographers pursuing e-commerce/catalog work for swim and activewear brands
- Anyone who's shot swimwear and gotten flat, unflattering, or inconsistent results
- Photographers who are confident with lighting but unsure how to direct body-conscious subjects

### Learning Objectives
