Matthew Jervis

Matthew Jervis is an innovation consultant and program instructor based in the San Francisco Bay Area. After years spent as a branding designer and art director, Matthew began leveraging his professional experience and training into working in education as a lesson designer and instructor for kids; kindergarten through graduate school.

Now, after years of creating and leading educational design-‐thinking workshops for kids, Matthew has begun designing unique programs for big kids and corporate clients. Professional programs are designed to encourage team collaboration, effective creative engagement, asset recognition, and teach creative survival skills.

Matthew continues his work with kids of all ages, addressing ways in which public school enrichment programs can provide meaningful student experiences and career connectivity through the creative process.

By utilizing our instinctual creativity and curiosity, Matthew has developed several programs and workshops that focus on problem solving and design thinking. His work has been widely adopted in San Francisco Bay Area Public Schools and speaks to regularly to students and museum groups.

Matthew has appeared numerous times at Maker Faire and has served as a teaching consultant to summer camps, The Boys and Girls Club, the Alameda Dept. of Education, and private and public teaching programs. Additionally Matthew currently teaches courses on creative strategies and thinking at San Francisco’s Academy of Art University.
