Great class for anyone looking to blend a photo with a texture for a creative effect. Dave discusses Blend If, smart objects, Apply Image and many other techniques that enable us to get the most out of Photoshop when adding texture to photos.
Typically I am a big fan of Dave Cross classes on Creative Live. Sadly I was very disappointed with this one. Several of the lessons rely on knowledge of such things as Blend If sliders and Clipping Masks. Dave shows just enough of these tools to confuse. At the end of the class I sat back and felt very confused and without skills in applying textures which was the purpose of purchasing the class. It would have been far more effective for Dave to do a few beginning to end sample projects using textures.
