I feel like I didn’t really gain much print-specific knowledge. To my surprise, much of the class talked about editing photos and although I appreciate pointing out editing tips for better prints, I felt like way too much time was spent on the general editing workflow. It also disappointed me that the rationale behind some key print choices were glossed over (e.g. the 240 print resolution). As an engineer, I found it really surprising that something like that had absolutely no explanation while so much time was spent explaining a general photo editing workflow when very little of the latter was print-specific. Overall, there are a few nuggets of print-specific knowledge, but not enough to lend the title to this course. If I was brand new to photography, this course would be a decent primer, but I just this is just a teaser for anyone who has experience with digital photography but has not done any real photo printing.

This is a good fundamentals class. Mike is an excellent teacher. If you are just starting printing, this would be a good choice. If you are more experienced at printing it is probably too shallow. I thought the price of the class was high for the time and detail of the lessons.

Good solid fundamentals class for beginners. If you're a fairly seasoned pro wanting to refine your output techniques, you'll probably find this class too general. It concentrates on the basics of achieving a good image with a basic overview of printer settings and Adobe output dialog boxes.
