I am not a photographer. I do compositing using Photoshop and was interested in seeing how they set up and pose such lively subjects. Such care was taken with the puppies and I learned a lot about getting just the right poses using different setups like muslin, bowls, etc. For compositing, it's important to know what you are looking for in order to bring images together correctly. This course, besides being fun to watch, has helped me, even if my images don't wiggle as much as these puppies.

First of all I love Kelly Browns work, bought several of her video trainings and learned so much from these. So I wanted to invest in this video training too because I also love her puppy photos. Unfortunately this is the first video training that I am not enthusiastic about and learned anything new. Of course the puppies are super cute and Kelly is a great teacher as always but I have missed some main topics as light and composition. The light setup was very bad though Kelly always emphasizes in her other video trainings how important proper light is. This is the reason why the photos out of camera looked not very professional and are not comparable to their other puppy pictures in the book. The last lesson „Creating a book“ reminds me more of an informercial for her book and has nothing to do with the title of how you design a book. Too bad. A nice bonus lesson would have been the image editing of one of the photos. You better buy a video training about newborn photography from Kelly because you can learn so much more and can transfer it to the puppy photography.

I loved everything about this class!! It was so obvious by the handling and the way you interacted with the puppies how much care and thought goes into the artwork you created. I'm so excited to put all of your ideas into my own creativity. Thank you for providing me with the inspiration to move forward with pet photography!
