I am so glad I took this course! I have been writing novels as a hobby for decades and never felt able to take it to a new level. Everything she talked about made so much sense and has given me a whole new perspective! I am finally unstuck on a particular project and am excited to start writing the story now! THANK YOU Lisa!

I feel empowered to write now. Everything else I have read about writing intimidated me. I could NOT SEE the process they were teaching. But this made so much sense, very foundational! I could envision the process. I highly recommend this course and supplemental guide. I wish I could ask of the books I pick up to read, "Did the author take this course? because I don't want to waste my time reading this book unless they did!"

I LOVED this class! I had what I thought was a pretty strong idea developed for a novel I'm writing, but this course had me really thinking through the purpose of story and diving deep into the point I wanted to be making with my story. It was fun to follow along with the exercises and I was able to take my original idea and deepen it into something meaningful and dimensional. I would HIGHLY recommmend! I will probably retake the course when I am writing other novels!

What a great class! So much packed into the lessons. Some of her insights and advice have changed my mindset toward my writing, and I’m re-energized and excited to begin. While the class is definitely geared for memoir writers or personal essayists, I think there’s value for writers of other genres as well. I’ll be looking for more by Joyce Maynard in the future!

This is probably the best course I've taken on writing ever, and I've taken a lot of them (Including an M.A.!). It is clear, concise, the examples are perfect, as are the exercises, in helping me get clear on my story, my characters, and how to write it. INCREDIBLE!!! While I'm "only" a YouTuber Travel Vlogger that believes in the importance of story, Lisa's class content, presentation, lucid examples and comprehensive bonus material (COMPLETE 63 page outline), this is undoubtedly the best story STRUCTURE class I've ever read or viewed! You could pay 10x and still not get this value!!!
