Since its inception seven or eight years ago, MetalSucks.net has gone from a side project that founders Vince Neilstein and Axl Rosenberg did to blow off steam from the day jobs that they hated to one of the biggest and best metal blogs on the planet.
I’ve known these guys both personally and professionally for many years now, and I totally have that “proud dad” feeling about them. It’s incredibly hard to make a living off of anything related to music, let alone blogging — but they did it, and they keep growing slowly but surely.
We chatted about the day-to-day realities of “the content business,” struggling to have opinions on stuff that you may or may not actually care about, dealing with the negativity of internet culture, and tons more. I would highly recommend this one not just to people who are interested in metal or read MS, but anyone who wants to be in the blogging or content business.
