To celebrate National Craft Month in March, we wanted to recognize and reward all the creative, beautiful, fun, and inspirational things our audience whips up on a regular basis. We also wanted to find some new crafters to follow on Instagram, Twitter, and Pinterest!
The campaign, #MakeMarch, was a way of showcasing all of the month’s creative ventures — and it was also a contest to win a $1000 gift card to build the craft room of your dreams. The field was deep, but fortunately, we weren’t forced to choose; our winner was picked at random.
We saw thousands of entries from incredible makers and doers during National Craft Month, and we were so impressed with the entries. Their pretty pictures really inspired us to stay crafty all year long, so we wanted to share some of our favorites – we hope you find them as inspiring as we did.

To start out: Our lucky #MakeMarch winner. As you’ll see after browsing her Instagram, Nicole is doing really incredible things with her textiles and stamping techniques. Follow along with her and her family, and of course stay tuned to see what she does next with her winnings!

While it wasn’t possible for a CreativeLive employee to win the #MakeMarch prize, we still encouraged our team to partake in the fun. Here’s one from Studio Manager Mike Oncley.

#MakeMarch wasn’t just about creating cool crafts – in this case, it was about creating cool cocktails. Connie Kurtew made us thirsty for this Old Fashioned in a big way.
