It's been almost 17 years since I first picked up any kind of camera and it feels like all of that time spent behind the lens has been training for the day of my son's birth. As a professional portrait and wedding photographer, newborn photography isn't my comfort zone.
A Cinemagraph is a still image in GIF format in which small movements are repeated in a loop to give the viewer the perception that they are watching a video. Confused?

One of my biggest fears about videography is NOT that capturing footage will be impossible or extremely difficult. What video I do take may not be the best (I'm not looking to win any awards, but I'm not the worst in the world), but by no means is it awkward potato quality.
I look at images that creaked their way through my first camera, and I am smitten by my lack of photographic ability. That first Polaroid I got for my 16th birthday provided artistic endeavors (such as a very sleepy photo of my parents putting up with having a camera in their face) that I hadn't known existed.
