Great class
Clear and to the point. If you are just starting with voice recording, this course is great.
This songwriting course does a great job of breaking down the process in a way that feels both practical and inspiring. The instructor explains melody, lyrics, and chord progressions clearly, using real-world examples that make it easy to follow along. It’s perfect for beginners but still offers useful insights for more experienced songwriters. Some parts could go a bit deeper, especially on advanced techniques, and a few more hands-on exercises would make it even better. Overall, though, it’s a solid, well-paced course that gives you real tools to improve your songwriting.
This is a fabulous course. Keith takes a mountain of overwhelming information and breaks it all down into small pieces that are easy to follow and implement. He also has a great voice and is a pleasure to listen to and learn from!
Cool class but after the first lesson and Rikk's 87th reminder of how "cool" EZDrummer 2 is and why you should buy it I started to get slightly annoyed. It does go through a lot of controls and how to use the software but maybe the next one, do it without mentioning every single software offering from Toon Track and that you should buy it. To be fair, most of that is in the first 2 episodes and it gets much more down to the meat later on. It covers an crazy amount of functions and I still review this class when working in EZdrummer 3 since the functions are still there only 3 is far more streamlined and has a great amount of new sounds. Good class. Grab it if you're not a drummer but want to sound like you are.
Keith Harris is an amazing teacher. His coarse is timeless. Thank you Keith. Please come up with another coarse.
I revisit these lessons quite often. I'm not so fortunate to retain everything through one viewing. But having viewed the entire course twice, there are certain lessons I revisit as needed. There is a TON of material covered. It is supposed to be a beginner class but I am sure there are things Travis covers that would benefit intermediate users equally. My only complaint is that he does not have a follow-up course. Come on, Travis - give us another one!
I feel more confident in my live sound mixing abilities, thanks to your comprehensive and well-structured course. It was a pleasure to learn from someone so knowledgeable and passionate about their field. Once again, thank you for sharing your expertise, and I look forward to applying what I've learned in my future endeavors in live sound mixing
Caught this course on free stream day, and was totally impressed! DJ Hapa is so good at explaining things, in an easy and clear way! Great attitude and energy too! Really like his teaching style! I learned so much from catching what I did of this that day, and I'm not even a DJ! Lots of respect now for the Art of DJ'ing! Wow. Thank you! Look fwd to following you and maybe even dabbling into some of this myself now :) Great course loaded with golden nuggets for learning the craft!
After I took this course my mixes began to really sound better, and after learning more tricks and trying out new things and practice they are amazing, and I am very comfortable and happy with the results. Graham is a great teacher, great musician and singer too, we are so fortunate for his contribution to the music community.
Great class, really in depth. Opened my eyes to certain ways of using my console that i never thought of. The information in general was really good. I will be rewatching certain videos to really soak it all up
It's good. There's a lot of knowledge contained within the course. I think because we live in a digital age, and this is a slightly older video, there are a lot of new tools that I'm sure would be shown if the same course were presented today, but I think all the principles behind using them are more or less the same. I learned some new tricks and ways of thinking about things and validated some things that I already had been doing. My only gripe is the fact that the audio examples appear to be taken from the ambient mic? Or a combination? And so when you're supposed to be listening to subtle changes in multiband compression, it's kind of impossible when you're hearing phasing and other artifacts that aren't part of the original source material. That being said, you can still learn the concepts anyway just by watching and hearing him as he makes changes and talks about it. I definitely learned from this course.
Wonderfull!!, thanks Adam!, very helpfull for me!
Clear, concise, interesting! Zach presents a lot of information in the context of an actual song being constructed from start to finish. The entire process was easy to follow, and Zach provides key insights for each step. For example, when starting a project, I've never known what to do first - lay down a drum track, record guitar, record vocal ... ? After watching this course, I have a much better idea about how to decide which thing to do first, and the concept of scratch tracks adds a lot of flexibility to the process. The addition of doubled tracks and other instrument layers ("overdubs") made a huge impact on the overall sound and these seem like very achievable steps for a home studio. I've done some home recording and mixing with garage band and an old version of logic. This course is a great update on that. While Zach demonstrates protools, I think it's pretty easy to map most of what he did to other apps like garageband (which admittedly has more restricted functionality). I'm looking forward to starting my next recording project using what I've learned here!
This is the course I've always wanted to have. I feel like a pro now ^^ Also Travis is a great Teacher. Hopefully he comes back for even more advanced Logic Tutorials.
An easy method to develop a musical project focused on music production. Just perfect for me as a beginner.
Great course, I have enjoyed it a lot and I'm sure I will come back to reinforce many of the concepts shown through the videos. Right now I'm good to go with ideas to apply to my songwriting skills and reinforce several concepts I already had developed prior to this course. This is a great lesson series... even for advanced musicians, anyone can get stuck in this wonderful world of writing and this course shows you tools to get out the best of this process.
Amazing. Fully in-depth.
so far this has been a great training class for brushing up on the basics it would have been nice if you would of went over gain staging more and how you got the static mix level wise when faders are at zero its a little deceptive. I did appreciate the minimal set up you use though.
I watch this a 1000 times to this date from since it first came out. We are talking about modern next level metal music from one of the best multi talented producers of our time!
Just amazing how easy can be explain this techniques, and for those who need to see how its done, its perfect, for me it is just perfect!
Great class!
Real Great Course. I learned a lot about Music Theory and now am jamming better than ever on my keyboard. Thanks Allen
