Lots of content and like that it was organized into categories. Presentation skills should be worked on; the giggling was distracting.

Enjoyed the class, now I need to get my store going.

I now understand why I´m not happy with how my business goes. I´m avoiding way too many of the things I should be doing out of "shyness privacy, not wanting to "molest" people and some weird pride" being afraid of exposure, limitig myself... I understand that I have to totally rethink and restructure everything

Lisa is so down-to-earth and relatable. She cracks me up the way she laughs at herself. I've learned so much from this class- thank you!
-
There are a lot of great information in this course, but also a few problems that need improvement: * Lisa used presentation slides to sparingly that sometimes it's hard to follow her point. She needs more coaching on designing effective presentation. * A lot of examples in the course are personal observations from her own strategy, which may not apply to everyone. There are not enough varieties of examples to consolidate into an actionable step.
-
I have a mixed feeling about this course. Lisa Jacobs tends to be repetitive with her presentation and the whole course could have been shortened to 2 days. There is not enough instruction on how to validate your products. It's probably easy when you sell jewelry and handmade items, but it's harder when you sell digital goods for a niche market and no one around you falls into the market. On the other hand, the session with Tim Adam is eye-opening and gold. It made me realize that I have done everything wrong and I need to go back to the drawing board. Tim's sessions is the reason why I still recommend this course.
-
I would recommend this course with 2 caveats: 1) The course was quite long for online viewing and it could have been significantly streamlined without losing any effective content. 2) The module with Tim Adam would have been better to have him on a live feed with GoToMeeting or something like that rather than just his picture. This was the one module that could have benefited from spending a little time explaining things.

Really great course for anyone considering to open up an Etsy shop. Marlo is straight to the point and keeps it simple. - Yes she giggles a lot, but it breaks it all up so you don't get bored half way through:o) As I am from Denmark, I would have liked to know a bit about shipping options here in europe. And if I can change currency into DKK instead of USD, but other than that I feel she covered everything. Thanks! :o)

Please have Tim Adam from Handmadeology come teach a class or two or three. That was the best part of this class! Seems like the 3 classes that Lisa teaches could be combined into a two day class. So much repeat info between the classes. Time is valuable when you are an entrepreneur. Basic info is out there...focus on the next level info to present.
-
it's good information but the giggling is so annoying that I'm undecided about purchasing this class. :-(

Overall, I thought this presentation was filled with lots of useful information about creating an Etsy store. I am new to Etsy so this was a good introduction to a lot of things I did not know that... I needed to learn about. I also pricked up a lit of good tips especilly from the QAs. However, the organization of the presentation was a little confusing. The slides noted general topics but the lecture tended to meander. I found myself writing a lot down but I will have to go back later and try to re-organize my notes to put everything together. I viewed a free broadcast so I did not have the course materials to use as a guide.

Great information, nicely presented.

From all the information I've read from other people and from the discussions on the Etsy Blog, this course was a huge eye opener. There is information I could have gotten until I open a shop that Marlo provides you with in this course. She's open, honest and extremely helpful in answering questions. And the information she provided should be a must-read/watch for anyone who is entirely new to Etsy and wants to open a shop.
-
So much information here! Marlo is wonderful as she walks you through the ins and outs of Etsy. Great for someone that has never had an Etsy store.

I think this is an excellent class for crafters who want to get more out of their Etsy shop, and learn the basics. She really goes through the details step-by-step, but sometimes really states the obvious. I did find her giggling also rather distracting at times. In the workbook there are slides on how to do the shop banner, but I don't think they are in the actual presentation? I think this is a pretty important part of an Etsy shop and seems an oversight of that being left out in the recordings?
-
If you want to get a good overview of how to get an Etsy shop up and running, I can definitely recommend this class. It not only tells you how to set up the shop itself, but also covers topics such as Etsy guidelines and the fees you pay for listing items and getting paid. The bonus materials are well-structured and really add to the presentation. To be completely honest, I do think that Marlo's giggling is a bit distracting and she sometimes loses track of what she was going to say. In all fairness, I do think I should mention she may have been extra nervous because she was having technical issues during the live presentation that were out of her control.

This is an an amazing class. It is great for beginners as well as those who have had their shop up for while. There is something new to learn for everyone on Etsy. Marlo's powerpoints are concise and clear. I was so glad to also get the ebooks so I can go back and review the course while I make changes to my store. I am able to bookmark and work through all the changes. Thanks for this course, Marlo and CreativeLive.
-
I highly recommend this class also. I came home with a two page checklist of things to change in my shop to increase traffic and make it more coherent. Marlo's information and course design is so easy to follow and the handouts & bonus material are incredible!
-
Really enjoyed Marlo's presentation. I am a seasoned Etsy seller, but with Etsy always changing, I thought the class would still be of value. I was right! Learned so much and now have a long list of things I can do to make my shop even more successful. Highly recommend this class.

Marlo's live presentation was terrific! I learned a lot and was motivated to buy her materials. Looking forward to reading her materials in greater depth. Much thanks!
